Another stellar review. You really hit all the key points. Following the Zeus Pro we wanted create a product that was targeted at the sub $1000 price point. We wanted to pack as much performance as we could while hitting it hard with the highest price to performance ratio on the market. We know that not everyone want or needs the Zeus Pro but the Bamboo AT Pro is hands down the best performance you will get at this price point. They still feature the industry first split angle TKP trucks specced with Riptide WFB pivot cups so you can be sure to experience a sublime carving experience !

You shouldn't call it the Bamboo "Pro", though. This thing isn't even close to the Zeus Pro in performance. This thing is specced like a board from 2019.

Hey Scott, I'm currently thinking about purchasing an AT board, either the Ownboart At pro or the Wowgo AT2. The turning point for me is the speed and braking. Is it worth it to invest into the faster board or is it too fast that I will probably never need it?

Why is the battery so trash though. Bulk molicel p42a are less than 4.70 a cell
@scottdaviesyoutube2 жыл бұрын
M50 is an ok cell, This is not designed to be a premium board, this is a budget AT @$1k it’s at the top end of “budget” but still great value I think. P42s would be wasted on this board as the esc would not give their true performance.
@jimmysyar8892 жыл бұрын
@@scottdaviesyoutube the m35a is $4.90 at 1000+ and the p42a is $4.63 each at 1000+ . I don’t understand. I guess the m50 gets slightly more range but I feel like most would like the much stronger acceleration for maybe a mile less range. You can also charge the 42a wayyyyy faster. Esc are cheap enough that the cost savings of switching to 42a would balance it out. Also you could do 13s4p which would actually give you an extra 2 cells. For less money.
@scottdaviesyoutube2 жыл бұрын
I get all that, but I think they weren’t trying to build a performance board. that’s coming soon I can only assume and don’t want to put same cells in their Budget as their premium model. This is just a guess
@jimmysyar8892 жыл бұрын
@@scottdaviesyoutube Yeah, I guess I find it interesting. Seems kind of shady that there marketing this as a "low budget board" when they could easily make it a lot better for literally no more cost. I guess they don't count on people doing the math. side note, you should do a review on the mountain board poisonous bee pro. My feedback - caveat emptor. I bought my son a Bamboo AT Pro and it has been a total disaster. Very poor QC - truck bolts loose, belts MUCH too loose leading to total destruction/detachment of stock AT rear wheel on our very first ride. Bearings nuked, pulley torched, motor mount damaged...lucky my son didn't break his neck. MULTIPLE back and forth emails w/ Ownboard, including detailed descriptions and video/photo substantiation of the issue, were excruciating in their inefficiency and unsatisfactory resolution efforts. We expect equipment to work as intended out of the box and be reliable and SAFE. Not the case with this board. Thanks to Daniel Kwan's video on belt tension I diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Frustratingly, I asked Ownboard several times for feedback on WHY the problem occurred and what we could do to prevent it from happening again - I never got an answer. After a good deal of back and forth they finally sent replacement parts for the AT wheel that was destroyed, but it would have happened again had I not figured out the root cause on my own. I understand the language barrier, but after-sale support is critical and the fact they couldn't diagnose something as simple and obvious as low belt tension is concerning. NB - in frustration I emailed Evolve to ask them a few questions and get a sense of how they do business, thinking maybe they were the company I should be patronizing - and was totally ignored. Not impressed! Overall I'm not convinced this industry is ready for prime time. We'll stick to mountain bikes - they're finicky but at least you can take them to a local shop and get quality service and support from someone you can speak to and look in the eye.
