Great review!! You got he vibes on point. We know that not everyone needs balls to the walls speed. Some just want something comfortable with a spec sheet that prioritises value. The deck is dialled in for the perfect amount of flex and camber to give you the perfect amount spring out your carves.This is a shop favourite because it just such a comfortable and chill ride. Thanks for the tip on the pivot cups. Zeus pro has the same issue I think. I knew there was something I didn’t like in those truck but couldn’t put my finger on it. I had already replaced all the bushings but not the pivot cup. I replaced them with evolve cups and it’s much better now. Ownboard was really trying to do something good but it ended up backfiring. Which explains why they shipped with such hard bushings. But who knows. B-one balrog claims their bushings are 100a and that truck setup is perfect imo.

Its kinda weird that i like the truck setup on this. First board I've owned that i reached 25mph, and complained about the speed. All my boards can reach 25+ mph some can reach 33mph. But this is the only one that feels stable at high speeds.

Check if the washer stuck on the trucks. I had this problem with the zeus dkp. So if the washer is tuching the truck it stops the turn. No more deep carving.

so i had some STOCK evolve pivot cups sitten around, but it seems they r sold out on there website. i Think using some riptide 90a bushings helped too. but here are some standard pivot cups that i THINK will fit. if u watch my new christmas list video, i bring up bushings sold in pairs that are wayyy cheaper and give u more options. check that out. Noice video. But now i have a problem. You've ridden both this and lycoan trx 3.0. I'm a tall 216lbs rider. Which one would give me better performance? Need a 6 inch pneumatics board to commute 15 mile round trip over a cold and damp winter. I'm biased towards the Molicels p42a but can go for the Molicels 36b if they perform. Thanks in advance. ✌️

great question… balrog has a little more flex but the balrog is a little on the narrow side. (i prefer a little wider like the ownboard) the cells are a little better in the ownboard, but i dont notice a difference in range or performance. id normally like the look of the bamboo better, but now the balrog has a blacked out version, i like that too. there both very stable and fun to ride and fun to carve. u cannot make a bad decision. dont forget to use my discount code!

@@pezama i think its the pivot cups. those riptide pivot cups do a lottttt of pivoting. i have a few of them i bought a longg time ago and i took them right out. same goes for any board. just my opinion

My feedback - caveat emptor. I bought my son a Bamboo AT Pro and it has been a total disaster. Very poor QC - truck bolts loose, belts MUCH too loose leading to total destruction/detachment of stock AT rear wheel on our very first ride. Bearings nuked, pulley torched, motor mount damaged...lucky my son didn't break his neck. MULTIPLE back and forth emails w/ Ownboard, including detailed descriptions and video/photo substantiation of the issue, were excruciating in their inefficiency and unsatisfactory resolution efforts. We expect equipment to work as intended out of the box and be reliable and SAFE. Not the case with this board. Thanks to Daniel Kwan's video on belt tension I diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Frustratingly, I asked Ownboard several times for feedback on WHY the problem occurred and what we could do to prevent it from happening again - I never got an answer. After a good deal of back and forth they finally sent replacement parts for the AT wheel that was destroyed, but it would have happened again had I not figured out the root cause on my own. I understand the language barrier, but after-sale support is critical and the fact they couldn't diagnose something as simple and obvious as low belt tension is concerning. NB - in frustration I emailed Evolve to ask them a few questions and get a sense of how they do business, thinking maybe they were the company I should be patronizing - and was totally ignored. Not impressed! Overall I'm not convinced this industry is ready for prime time. We'll stick to mountain bikes - they're finicky but at least you can take them to a local shop and get quality service and support from someone you can speak to and look in the eye.
