So shoddy to label up some the early tracks as being "Paris". It was actually the Paris Theatre in London, as against Paris in France. That sort of thing gets on my nerves

Just wondering do you know where I can get the genesis live at wembley stadium 1987 on audio in full or a cd as I love this show and want to have the Audio as well as rhe full content on dvd

@@TheDarrenLock I know. Nevertheless, I'm happy to get some new old Genesis, even though I already have some of it and there are some repeats. This could've been much, much better though. Maybe there'll be a Volume 2. Not holding my breath though.

I only care for Peter Gabriel era ( that include Genesis until 74, five first Marillion albuns and Fish solo discography, Citizen cain fist 2 albuns, Kyrye eleison album, Neuschwanstein album, many other neo prog bands ....Peter gabriel with genesis has a HUGE discography)

hold on to it bbc music cds only get released once they never seem to be available, hence bbc beatle stuff vol 1 or 2 completely vanished into thin air at least in canada

While it's cool I don't know if I'm actually going to purchase it or not. I've already heard all that stuff a bazillion times and have recorded all of it onto CD 💿 myself. I do understand it would be Remastered, polished up, and come with the artwork. However In this World where EVERYTHING is so expensive my record collecting has had to take a back seat for now. There's just nothing there I don't already have. The translation for all that is I'm getting it on payday!! 😂

Genesis products often have no care taken over the packaging. It's such a bizarre tracklist too which makes no sense. If they have the sort of fanbase who are happy to shell out £50 for a box set, then why don't they compile more complete separate anthologies of tours and take more time over it? There will be no shortage of fans who would want to be involved in such a project to ensure quality control.

You can tell Tony Banks (who'd rather forget the Gabriel era) had the main hand in putting this together. A fair chunk of the Gabriel era stuff on here is already officially released, so much missing of the sessions the 5 man band recorded. The set isn't released on streaming services so I can't decide if the one disc I'm interested in is much of an upgrade on the already excellent quality bootlegs of the 70 - 72 sessions. I'll be giving this a miss, although it pains me to.

Tony would rather "forget" the Gabriel era??? That was when Tony did his best work and was most prolific and prominent. Pretty much everything after Duke his keyboards just became a background sidepiece.

I totally agree with what you say. However Tony doesn't like Peter Gabriel much nowadays and the band after Gabriel left is his main concern. He didn't like Hackett much either, again as this box set shows.

It looks kinda yucky. It’s infuriating that they treat the true fans like this. Pink Floyd is guilty of the same thing excepting their BBC stuff. That was done right. So many other bands got it right like Be Bop Deluxe, Jethro Tull, Marillion, Bowie and quite a few more. How about Seven Shows From Seventy Two by Yes? That’s what we/I want. I love Genesis but I’ll be passing this by. Besides I’ve got bootlegs and KZbin. Rip David Lindley
