@@endjfcar I know, and I'd still say it's ramming open doors. Rather a stunt than anything practical. Figures might be impressive for a naturally aspirated engine of that size, but the whole concept doesn't make any sense. Turbocharged engine could make several times more horsepower at the same capacity, or be smaller and lighter and still make more HP, with similar torque development through rpm range. It would have also been more versatile, since turbocharged cars can use dramatically different maps depending on chosen boost. With turbocharge he could have made an engine that develops 200BHP in city and is very fuel efficient, and develops 2000 BHP at the highest map.

I have to say, when I was a bit younger, I thought more of laptimes and performance. But the truth is, a lot of that is due to tires and with laptimes dropping every few years, cars that are only about laptimes will lose most of it's appeal. While cars like the Carrera GT that were surprisingly quickly surpassed still have an aura around them for what they are not just numbers. And therefore I see cars like the T.33 different nowadays.

This is a work of art, and I am so glad it exists. Love the companies ideals especially, except limited production. How does making as few people as possible able to enjoy it make it more valuable? I'm not buthurt that I can't ever have one, higher production wouldn't change that for me. But I would want as many people as possible to experience that. Especially if I spent all that time in design and engineering, and poured out my soul into the car.

Works of art in the traditional sense, are usually a production run of one. This car is perhaps most like a limited edition print, with the declared 100 copies, numbered and signed by the artist. This finite number justifies and protects the value, ensuring these objects are attractive to GM's clients, not least because of their exclusivity. Thus, still out of reach for us commoners! Aesthetically I am much more taken with this than T50, especially the rear end. What do you think?

Countless of racing cars and and a dozen of sports cars from the past decades already had headlights combined with air intakes below. Some of these did it to reduce the damage taken from the lower portion of the front bumper. That "innovation" was done decades ago and repeated by many manufacturers. Just to name a few of the more popular examples: 1966 Lamborghini Miura, 2002 TVR T350, 2005 TVR Sagaris, 1998 TVR Speed 12, 2009 Zenvo ST1, 2010 Zagato Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale, 2017 McLaren 720S, 2018 Glickenhaus SCG 007, 2018 Ford Mustang Bullit, 1989 Ferrari Mythos. A handful of concept cars have similar combined headlight/air intake designs, too. The Lamborghini Centenario also have fake air intakes below the headlights, though it's just for the looks. A few years ago I also worked on a project utilizing functional air intakes below the headlight projectors exactly for the purpose of meeting the newer, stricter requirements in the EU. There is no such law that forbids headlight covers that extend to a lower level. The law is pretty clear that it requires the low beam projector to be located at a certain high relative to the road surface. The high beam projector sitting below it could be located much lower. This is why you see road-legal cars with very low headlight covers that include the high beam projector below the low beam one, such like Ultima GTR, Lamborghini Veneno, Radical RXC, Praga R1, Sin R1, Glickenhaus 003S and so on. The talk about the "benefits" of having a floating and vibrating air intake on the roof is just yet another marketing bragging. There is no aerodynamic benefit of hard connecting the air intake to the engine and making it vibrate thousands of times per minute. On top of that, the boundary layer below the air intake actually generates two negatives: more drag and more lift. Also, having the air intake vibrating around actually requires a larger opening around the former (in contrary to the bold claim of the taller man in the video), thus further generating more drag and turbulence as the air stream reaches the rear glass. That also generates some extra wind noise. The top air intake of Pagani Zonda R, which tries to replicate the air intake of many LMP racing cars, is a proper solution, because it has an arrow-like base that splits the air below the opening (good for getting rid of the debris and dust) while also taking more dense air at the very beginning of the roof line. The air intake of GMA T.33 is too low and will inevitably suck some dust and possibly water if driven in raining conditions.
