Nice demo John! Unfortunately though, you didn't really get that this pedal is monophonic. So the chord work just makes it sound like an old Boss octaver and an envelope filter... Try some single note runs and you'll really hear what this pedal was meant to do.
@RobertKeeleyTV5 жыл бұрын
In some modes it is in fact polyphonic. But overall it had the feel of some dirty old synth pedal, so I called it a monophonic device. Thanks!

you definitely need to play synth pedals more like a keyboard than a guitar to get the most out of them, which he did not do in this demo, which is fine
@rohadtanyad89085 жыл бұрын
useless demo, he has no idea how to use it.
@RobertKeeleyTV5 жыл бұрын
@@rohadtanyad8908 But that's kinda cool in and of itself! He did Great (especially as a first look) to make it work for his playing and how he would create with it! It takes a bit of experimentation to figure out how it triggers and play it more like a synth. Since it's not designed to sound like any particular synth in particular, it does well if you don't want a typical keys style passage.
@rohadtanyad89085 жыл бұрын
@@RobertKeeleyTV thank you for your response. i have a few of your peals, you make some great stuff. i think this pedal could be more impressive than the way he used it. i also have a question. how does this compare to the ehx monophonic synth pedal?

John, I always love you slant on things. Like when you stated your point about guitars getting real battle scars vs Relicing via customs shop. Or the cool Cousin It slant on your lampshade there. But guitarist take up enough sonic space already! I see the the Square wave, Sign Wave, Saw wave switch. Is this an oscillator in a pedal? Imagine this with a prog keys guy and and a bassist with a sub octive pedal. OMG Sub frequency hell!😜 And for country? David Allen Coe will be writing songs about the pedal. Otherwise, Peace and have a great day.

Totally different ballpark as far as controls and tones. Not really comparable in my opinion. This is an actual synth, that's merely a synth emulation.

The vibe from the intro was like something from an Edgar Winters B-side. Very cool device but not sure what I'd use it for unless I was trying to play some of Keith Emerson's stuff on guitar... It also garbled the sound on some of the settings. Not sure about this one.
@RobertKeeleyTV5 жыл бұрын
That's where the magic of the blend comes in. You can set it for a huge range of accompaniment or fuzz-type blends! It doesn't have to be all or nothing, Edgar Lake and Palmer! ;-)

It's monophonic in chaos mode. Single notes, not funky chords. As we could all hear you were getting basically nothing. Anyway that was different thanks.

The 15watt is great! With the deals they run, look for a feee shipping or 20% off sale and you can pick one up for $180 or less. Amazing value for money. The amp would be a good buy at twice the price! Lots of good video reviews going around at the moment. Darrel Braun gives it a good run through

Hi, there Mr. Keeley. Always on spot. Yes, I was too hasty. Bollinger is very honest with cranking this baby up. There seems to be a lot of interest in guitar synths and I am all for that, but so far everything from ehx and other companies falls flat on my ears. Got bad ears. I'm really digging this pedal and your new fuzz too. Mono synth by ehx no even the price is good. Yours, I am seriously intrigued. Maybe. And Bollinger is a cool cat. He has turned me on to things like his oped or something about masturbation which was very interesting. Oh, it was about free on-line courses. Yes, Bollinger rules and so do you. I think this pedal would be cool in my neighborhood.
