Have the .45ACP full size. Very nice. Even better with a 3.5 pound trigger job. I cerakoted the slide for better weather resistance. Since it wasn't checkered on the front strap, I bought Pachmayr Diamond Pro low profile rubber grips. Really good beater, SHTF pistol, camping and hiking companion, nightstand Guardian, and just everything 1911. I've owned many 1911s and currently have 2 les baers and 1 Ed Brown SF. This is a good quality, lower priced 1911 that will make a good partner to the expensive 1911s.

@yrsued Жыл бұрын
@@evergreendreaming6130 This has been a point of criticism since 1982, when Colt introduced the Series 80 Firing Pin Block. Kimber introduced the Schwartz Block in the early 2000's, not as bad as the Series 80, but many people consider ALL trigger/ Firing Pin Blocks bad, because there are more parts that were never in the original 1911 design and that is more parts to go wrong!! Kimber makes several other great pistols without it!! The Interesting thing is that Colt went away from the Series 80, Springfield went away from the ILS and Kimber is making their new pistols without the Schwartz Block. They still have some guns in their inventory with it, but not that many!!
@AGC8284 жыл бұрын
This gun's been getting nothing but good reviews. A great first 1911 choice. Or even a 2nd. People get too caught up in the marking of custom 1911's. Which really just offer marginal improvements. Mostly cosmetic. No gun regardless of cost will make us better or to be able to shoot like a champion. That comes from range time and good training. My only gripe is the trigger is polymer...doesn't affect performance...just a psychological thing. For that reason I think I'd prefer the Range Officer Operator. Has I think an aluminum trigger. Essentially the same gun..
@yrsued4 жыл бұрын
I have a video coming up soon with a ton of modifications done to this pistol, in all honesty, it didn't need them, but this is the totally cool thing about 1911's, you decide how much or how little to modify them. FYI, you are right, the trigger does NOTHING negative to the performance of the Pistol, heck, I didn't even know it was Polymer!! For decades STI shooters have won local, Area, National and World Matches using STI Guns with Polymer Triggers, that is NOT a REAL issue!! Trust me on that one!!

I got a box of Sig Elite 365 9mm, and it does not feed, at all. The slide got stuck 3/4 of the way home. Couldn't pull it back, couldn't make it go home. I took it back to the dealer and their armorer got it unstuck by holding the slide and slapping the grip, HARD. If you feel the cases, they have a burr on them. We tried several other brand, and they all fed with no issue. DO NOT BUY SIG AMMO. Also, if you register your gun with Springfield, they give you a one-time ability to buy Springfield gear at cost. I used it to get extra mags, but they offer all kinds of merch.
@yrsued2 жыл бұрын
I've never had a problem with SIG Ammo, but like anything made by us, human beings, there might be a problem, we are NOT perfect. I have seen serious QC issues with other brands though!!
