ABOUT THE GAME:
SCP: Pandemic is a hardcore 8-player cooperative first-person tactical shooter. You are a rogue fireteam going against the SCP Foundation and their attempt of global omnicide. You start at Area 12, the site where the Psi-Z program is being actualized.

If it is SCP related it looks similar to the GOC (Global Occult Coalition) insignia which instead of containing the various anomalies they seek to destroy them, which makes sense in this scenario as well

this is based off of scp-5000 which was a suit from an alternate universe that told what happened the scp foundation went rogue and people like the goc fought back but in this game you are a rogue mtf squad

SCP-5000 is a "Total exclusion harness" that is most prominently used in the SCP why? scenario. id recommend looking in to it as it will bring the full reason of why the SCP foundation are the bad guys in this game. also, great video Fooster. Edit: its looking like the people you play as are not SCP personnel but instead Global Occult Coalition personnel.

in scp-5000 the foundation were actually not as bad as you think, the foundation found some entity that is inside of all humans and decided its a better mercy to kill everyone than let the entity live. the guy in the suit in scp 5000 actually sees some foundation agents shooting at a physical manifestation of the entity at one point.

For anyone who is confused on the context, SCP-5000 is an event in which the SCP foundation’s highest ups release all of their SCPs on the world, causing total apocalypse, secret MTF teams are deployed to execute facility staff and free anomalies, there is also an individual (who’s name I forget) that has equipped the initial SCP-5000 object that is always a part of this looping event, which is a suit that sends the user on a mission and gives him essentially superpowers, this event transfers from earth dimension to earth dimension, and this is a depiction of the Global Occult Coalition’s futile attempts to fight back.

I think you’re playing as a GOC team against the foundation, not a rogue team. This game was inspired by SCP-5000 and the GOC was one of the many organizations fighting back against the foundation.

i think the reason the player model has a star instead of the foundation mark is because you play as either an MTF (Mobile Task Force) soldier or a GOC squad (i can't tell exactly which) instead of on-site security. Fun Fact: MTF soldiers are different from the normal foundation security because every MTF squad is highly trained for handling different kinds of anomalies. For example, MTF Lambda-5 or the "White Rabbits" is tasked with dealing with entities or objects capable of manipulating space and time, MTF Epsilon-5 or the "Fire Eaters" is tasked with utilizing incendiary weaponry and conducting operations in high-temperature environments, etc... (Honesty there are too many for me to list in one comment. :P) Anyways, thank you for playing this cause i'm such an SCP and i love your vids!

The patch on the front of your armor is the insignia for the Global Occult Coalition. Another organization like the SCP. The GOC differs from the SCP in their regards to containment. The GOC doesn't want to contain anything. They want to destroy any anomalous object and creature. However, they've still worked together with the SCP on several occasions. The GOC took up arms against the SCP when the SCP began its mission to eradicate humanity during the events of SCP-5000.

The one that can't move while you're looking at it is nicknamed peanut. I think it was SCP - 137. Probably the best one imo. Because it could appear at any moment and was super quiet. So you had to be on your toes at all times, and when it did show it messed up any plans you had.

This game looks great. Back when SCP-5000 was first written I remember there were tons of people saying "Someone should make this into a game, it would be really cool." And now someone is finally doing it lol. Also the player characters (at least in this campaign) work for the Global Occult Coalition, which is why they have blue stars on their uniform and are allowed to kill SCPs. 3:47 Also it seems like the SCP Foundation use Linux computers with GNOME. Interesting. I guess you don't want your computers to be in the middle of a windows update during a containment breach lmao. They're using Firefox too, epic 27:10 SCP: Fragmented Minds reference

You were basically correct with your guess about why you guy was holding the galil by the mag well, but no one really uses it anymore as it was more popular in the early 2000s American SWAT, and it has now been replace by the c-clamp grip which is much better for controlling and manipulating the rifle.

Oh man, SCP5000 is one of my favourites, basically, the O5 council gets taken over by some Lovecraftian outworlder that overpowers even the council's mental defenses. The O5 then declares that the SCP Foundation will no longer protect humanity, but destroy it. They then release all the anomalies on the human race. Basically, in this, you are a fireteam going in to shut down an evil SCP Facility.

Holding the top of the mag minimizes travel time when reloading along with increasing stabilization and control

You don't get increased stabilization or control. You want to have your hand as far forward as possible to increase control. Holding by the magwell is really an outdated way of holding a firearm. The time increase for reloading is negligible.

@32:28 me and my brother called that foxtrot IDK why we started calling it the foxtrot formation but thats what we call it. We focus more on point to point manuvers rather than only switching off when needing reload... you lead to next cover position as I provide suppressive fire then switch... non stop movement, move fast cover to cover keep low "foxtrot".

5:40 - Looks like the GOC logo (Global Occult Coalition) a group of interest in the SCP's lore. It is an equivalent of the SCP foundation for the UN. Instead of containing anomalies, their goal is to destroy them. They are somewhat unfriendly to the SCP foundation even though deals have been made between them.

i think by rogue fire team it just means that this is taking place a bit after the foundation started the war against humanity and after the GOC forces are starting to fail to stop the foundation. This is the point when remaining GOC forces are out wandering or are still trying to have some victories against the foundation by taking out some SCP's or gaining info.
