Yeah…Covid really jacked up the prices and like with everything else they never went down because Lego realized they can sell sets for the new expensive price point perfectly fine.

It’s actually about the amount of lego pieces that affects the price, so for example, if a Lego set has 100 pieces, then the price would be 10 dollars, so 950 pieces for 90 bucks isn’t actually bad, you’re actually getting more then what you paid for, but, that’s subjective.

I have a soft spot for Gobots because they were inexpensive at the time and my mom would let me get them more often than Transformers. Also it seemed Gobots were sold everywhere even at our local grocery store. Now we need a Leader-1 made from an upscaled Earthrise Starscream mold and a Cy-Kill retool from the Junkion motorcycle mold. I want them all!

Loving that Gobots pack,.hope we get more as theorized-whixh means we need.more.mini Vehicles. That Deluxe Prime is a bit boring since there are so many figures.of the Big Bot. Maybe they will do a sleep mode version and I can finally get OP in that Deco. May Tomorrow really impress us all.

I was looking at the images of Lego Bee and trying to figure out where that windshield comes from in vehicle mode, then I saw that picture on the back of the box and the reason for it being two separate sections for the windshield makes much more sense. The photos showing some of his transformation don’t seem to feature any place that the windshield could go otherwise, so this definitely seems to parts-form. It might be possible to leave it on in robot mode as I’m not sure how it attaches, so I’m going to bite my tongue a little on that, but no image shows that yet if at all, so I think it is a safe conclusion. It’s a bit unfortunate if so as Prime only had optional parts-forming for that bumper panel, and Joe Kyde did design both of these sets. No disrespect to him as this is a very difficult thing to engineer, and I will need to wait until there is at least more substantial information to make a truly fair judgement. This still looks to be a neat set and since it is Lego, you can modify it pretty much however you want, hoping that the windshield cat stay attached if you want, just giving him the more rounded physique from G1. (Also budget missing link Prime looks awesome). Edit: Quick correction, Joe Kyde did not design Lego Bumblebee, that credit goes to Samuel Johnson. There is an interview with him that talks about the set and the design process, in which they show that Bee does parts-form off his windshield. May be able to leave it on still but it just wouldn’t sit perfectly judging by the set’s geometry in the abdomen and waist. Still looks neat and I’d recommend the interview on DuckBricks channel if you haven’t seen it.

And, I love the little bumper details! And in botmode, hes very chonky; not a complaint, tho. And I almost died when I saw G1 Optimus! He looks so unbelievably cool!!

Well I doubt that the g1 toy inspired figures will be frequent or even continuing after Optimus, but if they did do Megatron, he would likely be a tank with design cues from the G1 toy. They are technically allowed to make him turn into a gun like in G1(As far as the US goes at least, and Japan if I’m not mistaken), but he needs to at least have an orange cap to not resemble an actual firearm, it’s just that Hasbro would rather not go through the trouble of making him accurate to a firearm, as some retailers may have issues with stocking them and international releases could be complicated due to varying laws and regulations. It’s a mess, but I would also like a G1 Megs with the accurate alt-mode.
