Really cool. Thinking of getting one but all that mapping sounds confusing

Admittedly it's not an "open the box and play" experience but it's not *that* complicated. You can start simply and add more as you go.

Excellent. Have fun! And if you get stuck, drop me an email

Thanks... I will take you up on that. Some things are easy and some just aren't

How does this compare to the Artinoise Recorder, the Carry-on DWI and the others? Do they also have this extensive mapping software? Actually once you mapped the midi CCs, is it saved to the device so it can use it standalone, or the PC app has to run meanwhile?

I don't have experience with those controllers so can't speak to them. There were two sides of configuration presented here. First the device using the app/site - those settings are stored on the device and you don't need that app again until you decide to change something. The mappings inside the synth app have to be stored there and of course you have to be running that to make actual sounds. The WARBL has no synth or sound engine internally

@@flukutronic Thanks. Yeah I meant what are the settings that are actually stored on the device? Like eg. can you store what midi channels does it use for what, and if there are other more advanced settings or midi message modifications stored there. I'm asking because the idea would be to use it DAWless, so without any computer, but still be able to config it beforehand.

@Turbo_TechnoLogic yes, you can configure beforehand and play synth apps (or even hardware synths) standalone. For all the details of what is possible, I'll have to refer you to the manual at warbl.xyz
