LIKE SO HE SEES: Hey Trev - the reason your engines aren't responding to your throttle is because you have the auto throttle on! At about 5:18 you can see a button in the center of the cockpit that says "ATHR" on it, which is the auto throttle. It's lit up green, meaning it's engaged. Note that it doesn't depend on if the autopilot is engaged - it's a separate system. If you press it, it'll turn the auto throttle off and the engines will be under your control. The reason it's so slow after takeoff is because it's programmed to fly certain speeds based on your flight plan, altitude and level of flaps you have deployed so it doesn't damage anything. So if you put your flaps up, the auto throttle will notice, and speed up.
@harrisonchandler8774 жыл бұрын
hey man ive been playing this and hoping u might know whats going on my autothrottle doesnt even work even when its on and same with my speed and altitude autopilot have no clue why but u have any clue?
@yungkneez4 жыл бұрын
@@harrisonchandler877 For the auto throttle to work, it'll only take over if it's engaged and the throttle on your joystick or whatever is between about 20-80% (that's why Trevor only had control of the throttle if it was near full or no throttle at all). Another thing is that the auto throttle and autopilot get their speed, altitude and heading from the flight plan by default. So if you didn't create a flight plan and just started flying, you'll have to enter all that manually and tell the auto throttle/autopilot to follow it. It's hard to explain here, so I'll see if I can find a video that explains it.
@yungkneez4 жыл бұрын
@@harrisonchandler877 This is for a different sim, but the procedure/explanation is the same: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHvbdHeJoL9rjZI. @craigdickson93114 жыл бұрын
Irfan Marazmizal v1 is the speed when they have to takeoff even if anything happens (e.g. engine failure). An exception to this rule is if the aircraft becomes unflyable. Anything before the v1 callout they would abort the takeoff. Rotation can happen before v1 but very rarely. The pulling up is with the ‘rotate’ call out.

That third seat is a jump seat. It is used by someone who isn't operating the plane and can be used by a pilot or sometimes a flight attendant. So if a pilot is trying to get home or needs to get to another airport he can "deadhead" a flight and sit in either the cockpit jump seat or in the cabin. Deadheading is when flight crew basically ride as passengers.
