Looks like you have a TLR7 on there. Have you tried or could you try any other lights on this weapon? Information out there on what will and will not fit, as well as just seeing how they look, how far they sit out past the end of gun is really tough to find anywhere right now. TLR6? TLR3 and 4? OP Light Mini Valkyrie? XC1? APLc? Also where are you getting your holsters from to carry with the TLR7. Holster options out there seem minimal right now for this 3.6. I own one and am really trying to research all this.

Great video (and new subscriber too) on the M&P! This was the first thing I did to, except I installed the TFX’s and not the Pros. I bought my 2.0, 3.6 in. used (but looked like it never been shot.) An Apex trigger (no kit) had all ready been installed too. So it’s definitely in my EDC rotation along with my CZ 75D.

@linzmcgeorge4 жыл бұрын
To swap the sites, you will need a 1/2 inch brass drift that you grind the tip to resemble a "D" shape. Wrap in painter's tape. A good sturdy vice with "soft jaws" or something that will prevent finish damage to the slide. You will need a Dremmel tool with some extra cutoff wheels to cut almost all the way through the stock rear sight, straight across the now empty set screw hole. You will booger up the finish taking that tight bastard off with a drift alone. Now, a little gun oil helps you tap on your new rear sights without too much issue. Then, lock down the set screw. The front sight is a lot easier. Just use that "D" shaped, brass drift to knock off the stock front sight. Then a small amount of gun oil on the bottom and dove tail sides will help you tap the new tritium sights in the center.

I have a G17 and G26 combo as my SHTF set up...The 2.0 line is def a great gun S&W finally closed the gap between the M&P line and Glock line....I would love to own one and well as a bunch of other guns, I just cant justify buying a new set up just yet...Keep up the good work, Be safe and God Bless...And def enjoy ur new gun

Hey bro, Love the review but...why would I put night sights on? If i can't see it, I ain't shootin at it.Instead I put on HIVIZ...J
@1pecwonder6 жыл бұрын
I mean, sometimes you can see your target, but not the little white dots. Low light scenarios aren't the best for acquiring an accurate sight picture, especially when you can't see your sights well. By the way, I am by no means saying that you should shoot something that goes bump in the night without knowing who/what it is first that is incredibly foolish and dangerous. I am assuming that identifying a threat has already been done because the cardinal rules of gun safety are clear when it comes to only pointing your gun at something you are willing to shoot/destroy. You are only acquiring a sight picture when you are aiming your gun. So I am assuming a threat has already been identified. So in the case of a low light deadly encounter, night sights will help you acquire your sight picture much faster than factory sights.

@leroyatleroys5 жыл бұрын
So I just bought my M&P 2.0. I love tritium sights. I have them on one of my pistols and even my AR-15. However, why do people often insist on replacing the stock sights on the M&P 2.0? I understand that glow sights can help in low light. But in my experiences, when you have to draw, you often need to make sure you have enough light to see what you are shooting at anyway. That light is usually enough for you to identify your regular sights. In a defense circumstance, many times, you don't really have time to focus on aiming exactly. Usually it is very much pointing and shooting. If it is a home invasion and you have a mounted light, that is still enough to provide enough background light to acquire your sights. I just can't help but wonder, are glow sights really the first modification you should focus on? It's not like they have any special controls to be more accurate. You can align the stock ones the same as any other sight. The dots seem bright and well made on their own. If anything, I would replace the trigger first. Though the stock trigger is pretty good, I am not a fan of the hinged trigger and definitely prefer a flatter surface for that type of pistol. I also feel like the enclosed safety tab is theoretically safer than the bottom hinge safety. Anyway, I'm not knocking night sights. I just don't believe that they should be the first thing you should add to your pistol, if at all.
@truthseeker18332 жыл бұрын
I have a range in my back yard and just got back in from a night shoot. Although I have a mounted light on my 4" compact 2.0 it would be a lot better to have these night sights over stock where it takes my eyes to long to pick up. PS the stock triggers are perfect for me although I do like the new flat face trigger my sheild plus has over the curved hinged of my shield 2.0

Night sights are pretty dumb and a waster of money! You aren’t gonna shoot at something you can’t see or identify at night correct? So what to do? You need light! Don’t matter what kind. WML, handheld, environmental. You need to know who and what they doing to shoot . And your black out or three dot white sights are going to do what you need them to do . Tritium is a waste of money
