What a unique and engaging theme, thank you so much for the fun look Mike. Eagerly anticipated!

It's a sharply playing game, Steve. Really subtle, and I'm still thinking about my strategy for my next game. There are a number of avenues to being productive in the game. The first game I played I spent way to much influence and renown to impact cases in the later stages. I won a bunch of cases, but spent too many resources doing so. Next time I want to try something different.

Aha. At least in gameplay terms, the mystery of why you would choose the losing side is resolved ;). Thanks!!

Yes, it's 2 influence cheaper to advocate for the non-prevailing side. In the four-player game I played, I tried the strategy like I did at the end of the turn here, which was to spend massive amounts of influence to win the case going to Supreme Court at the end of the turn, but that seemed inefficient and I was always out of influence.

I can't wait for this to be released. While not an attorney, I frequently find myself reading about historical decisions, listening to oral arguments, and reading majority and dissenting opinions. I think it will be fun to see how different factors influence the game compared to history.

Based on what you've written, I think you'll really enjoy this one, yes. I've found the lens it provides on US History as a whole to be fascinating.

We had a fun 4-player game last weekend, but I sent the prototype back (they needed it), so it'll be a while now before we play. Still, lots of stuff we can play! :)

Thanks for highlighting this game; my daughter wants to be a lawyer in the future so I have just backed it on KS.

Nice idea. It does sound like a great gift idea for aspiring lawyers/law students.

I really like how this game plays, it‘s super interesting. But I might end up removing some of the cases because I‘m not sure I could handle some of them 🙈 Although the one that was judged here if delegates are allowed to call government foolish was pretty amazing 😂

That's the part that I'm finding particularly interesting, is how the cases reflect the history of the country. And the most recent case is 1997, in case that helps. :) The final game will have more information on the various cases and judges, too. I was often stopping to look them up.

This reminds me of a prior game called Kremlin by AH. A similar feel in some ways.

This looks like a game I would have to be in the proper mood to enjoy if playing solo as the subject matter is a little dry. I'd imagine it could lead to some lively conversation with other players. Very interesting but possibly boring at the same time if you cannot joke with them about politics. I'd also have to fight the urge to try and align the flow of new justices to my beliefs and to just have fun with the game. It would be entertaining to watch a game play out with those of different political leanings.
@ZillaBlitz15 күн бұрын
The game does a good job of taking the political edge off things, and the latest case is 1997. Also, the game spans 200+ years, so a good part of gameplay is centered on judges and case law going pretty far back in time.
