A note about the Hills - the setup is supposed to be depicting natural clay-rich hills that are in the process of being mined out, thus leaving them with the 'canyons' look. It's actually how clay was gathered for a couple thousand years from old clay deposits left behind after major flooding or the drainage of major bodies of water. Also, I'd love to see you tackle some of the Expansions' tiles.

Ever see the old 1970s Three Musketeers movie where Louis XIV is playing chess where the pieces are humans in costume (the "knights" were little people riding dogs with horse masks) Mel Brooks parodied the scene in one of his movies. I've also seen "human" chess games (very well behaved horses) - you can find videos of 'em up on KZbin.

The worst part of doing amazing things like this is, You yourself are the first and greatest critic, and when you hear a bad comment it hits you harder than the hundreds or thousands of others who enjoy you, no matter what, never listen to those others!!!! Fun fact, as someone who lives in New England: in general, pine forest floors aren’t green. They are red from fallen needles. And they’re usually pretty barren because the needles are pretty toxic to other plants.
@punchpineapple2 ай бұрын
That makes sense. I remember from the Walking with Dinosaurs series that pine forests were great for on-location shoots because the pine needless prevented grass from growing, which would have been anachronistic to the age of the dinosaurs. (Also volcanic ash fields.)

Catan has always been my favorite game. Whenever my dad (my parents are divorced and my mom had full custody) came to visit at my grandparents (Fathers side), me, my dad and my grandpa would play it for hours. We even made extra pieces that were an upgrade from the Town, costing 3 of each ressource and yielding 3 when an adjacent tile was rolled.

Jazza just a quick tip: if you just use the edges of your random orbital sander with only a piece of sandpaper on it's really easy to wear down the velcro on it, you can get foam pads that go in-between the sander and sandpaper that make it so that won't happen & will make it work better on curved surfaces like these ones! (As is they're really meant to be used on flat surfaces but this makes them a lot more versatile 😊)

Your video inspired me so much that I’ve decided to create something I’ve been planning for a while, though in a slightly different style. Now, thanks to you, I’m excited to make something similar, but on a smaller scale - more accessible and portable. I want to make my own version of Catan, but with a very Polish twist! What’s interesting is that all the types of terrain in the game, such as farmlands, sheep fields, mountains, clay pits, and forests, are actually found in Poland. And what’s even more fascinating is that we have a desert here too! No joke - the Błędowska Desert, right in the middle of Poland. So, for me, playing Catan has become a bit of a game about Poland, in my region. Thanks for the inspiration, I’m definitely going to incorporate that into my version!
