Svartedalen, known for its beautiful forests and winding trails. Nestled western Sweden, it's a place where riders can experience the thrill of the open road and stunning wilderness. This is my backyard and what could be a better place to warm up some riding skills and enjoy the nature after a long wait, let the adventure riding season begin!
Test Ride BMW 900 GS Adventure and compare it to my KTM 890 Adv R? Comment on that!

So many incredible shots in the beginning here tjommi. Looks like a great day of fun in the forrest. I envy some of your training grounds 🙌🏻🔥 Incredible how a day trip like this makes me long for the spring and new season again. Thank you Tjommi, this was exactly what I needed 🎥 And that VoiceOver in the beginning... nghhh! 🤌🏻

Yes! Finally a new Coffee, Chat and Braap video! Your steady fly-by shoots look very good Mattias. I really missed the GoPro footage between the shots. Would have finished an allready great video! @@Braapncamp You should try to get one from Thomas Hanssen. I get the impression he orders a new drone, laptop of Action camera every month :D I'm sure he has some left for a Swedish neighbour. I'd love to see some more Axe burger like video's. Or some general channel chat with nice fire in the background. I will do some Dutch and Northern France TET riding in the coming months. Like you, no long trips planned, but good chance that will also be somewhere in the Luxembourg and France area!

Ahh, good to see You Shayne! ADV spirit is within us 💪🤠🔥. There is people around here and there. Ofc, butvi do not film them, but mostly there vast forests are rather empty. There are are nice hiking trail, Bohusleden, that passed this area. 370Km long, You can walk for hours even a day without seeing anyone. With the bike You move fast over areas and pass houses in the woods or other people that enjoy the outdoors. But saw just few people this day. We had a hefty stormthe day before sp alot of fallen trees. The larger gravel roads was clened off though so cars could pass. Had to turn around on a couple of forest trails though. Cheers! 🍺

So great to be out before the mosquitos. Great vid Mattias. Been a long winter for most. Like the opening drone footage. You almost made a splashing entrance. KTM is looking good. Looks like you are getting comfortable with the new riding gear from MoskoMoto. You don't look like a runway model so it must be comfortable. Enjoyed the chat. Welcome back on the bike and out of the frozen arctic. Next time. Waiting for more adventure and maybe a weekend chat with the Nordic ADV friends

Very similar to your Eastern neighbours in 🇫🇮 and you have the 🦟 in common, too 😂 I simply love this area and I'm pretty sure I'll be back but I cannot promise the number of wheels 😉 Have a great season, Mattias and greetings from Tyske, Bernd 💙💛🏁🤛🏼

Thanks Bernd, You are welcome, the number of wheels are secondary! A cool thing was that I met like 15 Vespas from like the 60-70's with two VW T2 or 3 and a Landrover as support vehicles in this area. 4 wheels are fun in this are as well. Alot of roof top tenters, van lifers and motorhomers, not only from Sweden, but from Germany and NL as well. They get here for vacation, some stay and some are heading further north after a night. So nice to start the season. Even if there is some setbacks when the season has started it has started, it always feels a little better. I haven’t started yet but my neighbour was out a short ride on his old Honda Goldwing last week. I know it’s a Goldwing I’m trying to convince him to buy a real motorcycle. At least it is from the late seventy I think, So it’s not Santa’s sledge. Maybe you saw a little of it on the video on the snowblower I showed you.

Ahhh, I would like to have a Goldwing from that era 👌 it's a bike and bikes are cool. A Eurotrip on that Bike would be cool. I had a blast out there Jonas, so fun to get out. It's mind clearing, fuel to the soul. I was trail hiking the weekend before, which also was great, sun beams in the face 😁💪. Videoed it but have not edited that yet.

He got it last summer, I think he talked about that he had the same motorcycle as his first bike. He also has a Suzuki GS 1100 G from 1984. That one is also good looking. @@Braapncamp Hey...51.048098922651505, -114.07196019949055 .....so not that far north really. Without a coastal location (warmth of the ocean) we get bitterly cold.....this cold snap we are in will only last a week or so, but it will take a few days after that before warmer temps will melt the ice.... We use allot of gravel on the roads due to the fact it gets quite cold and salt doesn't melt the ice/snow! So, its sketchy riding (tiny marbles) for a while after the snow melts. And with the road surface very cold, traction is reduced...boooo. I always get out earlier than most, but I need to be very careful until it warms and the roads are cleaned/swept.

The Basilisk is a wonderful jacket and weigh in on like 1,5 Kg compared to Rak's 900g. The Superfabric, which the Basilisk has more of than any other jacket i know if (inklusive Klim) , as abrasion protection makes yhe Basilisk great as allrounder. (Think touring/transports on asphalt, nice or needed asphalt riding. The Rak Pullover is more of aa ADV jacket for the trails. With that said, I have my Supershirt, comparable with Knox Urban or Leatt 6.5, wich gives me full protection (abrasion and inpact) and makes my layering gamechanging with options. All from just riding with it or a jersey over it or the Rak for wind/rain protection. The Rak has ofc some abrasion protection but not like the Basilisk. Riding wise, the Rak Pullover gives much more of a agile feeling and I just love it.
@lukmxtr9604
@lukmxtr9604 5 ай бұрын
@@Braapncamp I really appreciate your reply ! The Basilisk Jacket has indeed a lot of Super Fabric used ! I can imagine that different construction and low weight make the Rack Pullover more comfortable to ride and easier to pack than the Basilisk Jacket. I just wonder how durable The Rack is and how it will withstand skidding on a gravel road? Taking into account very small price difference between Rack vs Basilisk I have got a feeling that Basilisk offer better value for money . Basilisk Jacket is waterproof too, provides better venting if needed , and much more better durability/protection in case of a fall in a gravel road or even on tarmac . Unfortunately it's twice as heavy as a Rack , less packable and probably less comfortable . I know that Ideally would be good to have in our arsenal both Rack and the Basilisk but the price is seriously hard to swallow . I think that Rack Pullover should cost around half of the price of the Basilisk ! [ naive wishes ...I know ! Ha , ha ha ;) ] If you will make in the future a Mosko Moto gear review I will be really interested in your opinion about the latest Basilisk Jacket , how comfortable it is , how effective vents are in warmer days etc . Thanks for sharing all your thoughts so far !
@Braapncamp
@Braapncamp 5 ай бұрын
Sorry for late answer, You are right the Basilisk offer better value for money and are comfortabel, vents great as well. The only add ed value the Rak has is that You can use it alot more in everyday life off bike. Thats a great value as well. The importat part is if you have the Rak You need (at least to me) a bodyarmor that have the abrasion protection as well, Then you are protected if going down on gravel, both jackets will probably be in need for a replace. With the Basilisk You get away with a bodyarmor that only offer impact protection (price difference!). I have seen a Basilisk jacket that have been in a slide on asphalt and out on an field after that. The guy had some pain for a while but was fine, the jacket did the work and looked great, the sliding was on the superfabric parts as intended where these are located. Ofc Mosko replaced the jacket with their crash warranty, how great isn't that! I will make some gear comparison videos this season, i just need more time with some of the gear.
