I know that when I stopped making music for a couple years, when I came back to it I was waayyyy better. Especially my recording & mixing/mastering skills. For some reason everything I never quite got before suddenly just clicked and I was like "wtf was I thinking before"?! Good to see you back. Your beats are way fire man. The sample at around 7:10 is in fact quite famous and was used for a song by IAM or by one of its MCs! The sample afterwards (7:55) sounds like a sample used for "Bouteille de gaz" by another legendary french crew called Scred Connexion.

Nooit iets gehad met MPC.. Samples choppen meestal in N.I. Battery, Audacity of in je DAW, snellere workflow oneindig meer mogelijkheden (voor mij dan)

Heb ook nog gechopped in Audacity, maar ik kon het sneller met de MPC na een tijdje. Ieder vindt een beetje zijn eigen weg, ik begrijp wel dat DAW sneller is. De klank en het karakter van de MPC doet ook veel voor me

@@MAARTN Ik heb overigens niets tegen MPC hoor verder; Soundwise/workflowtechnisch gewoon puur en rauw, (soms ietwat “blokkig” maar uiteraard van persoonlijke voorkeur); die kast is gewoon 100% iconisch en ademt alles boombap. Sowieso hardware alleen al imposant om te hebben staan, ik heb dat nog elke dag met het zien van mijn gitaren bij thuiskomst (en vroeger m’n bescheiden studiohoek met de opstelling van m’n monitoren/synths etc.) Niet meer dan logisch dat er een shitload aan producers helemaal weg van is. Deze machine is gewoon karakteristiek en waarschijnlijk zelfs van evolutionaire rol in de hiphop. *EN* er gaat niets boven het smashen op de pads terwijl je hoofd vanzelf mee wil bouncen op al die heerlijke crunchy beats met het warme gekraak uit “eigen” samples getrokken van vinyl. Bij het zien van dit soort video’s krijg je gewoon weer zin alle zooi uit het stof te trekken : ) Je beats zijn gruwelijk man, heb hier echt van lopen genieten 🙏

Never had any issues with the 500 with loading. But I've also only used that stock CF card that comes with the 500, maybe that's it?

First 3 beats I ever made, I chopped samples on the computer with "Audacity". After the 3rd beat, I tried chopping with the MPC and never went back to Audacity 😁

They are adapters for 7" records. Got them from a guy on IG with a small company, but I forgot the name. They sold out fast too, so they are hard to find now...

Merci! De enige reden da ik de 60 verkies, is omda die nog nooit error gaf bij het laden van beats. Kweenie hoe het komt, maar als ik dingen save op floppy in de 3000, is de data bijna altijd corrupted na opnieuw inladen. Moet altijd mijn externe zip drive gebruiken en das wa "tjolen" 😛
