WHAT AN ADVENTURE! The lifted mudding mower goes for it's first REAL ride! There were some issues, but when it was working, it was pretty crazy!
Then the thunderstorms rolled in!

You can use a tire Grover or hot chisel to cut lugs out of your front tires. It's a cheap way to make stock car or mower tires much more aggressive. Keep up the good work!

For belt slipping you should look into accu-link belts they are realy cool and adjustable to reduce slipping simple and fast just saying they work wonders

Those skinny tires on the front are part of the problem. They knife blade right into the mud. Put some big soft ATV tires in the front too.

The trick when mudding is you never want to let off the throttle and always give it some gas so that you don't loose your momentum causing you to get stuck.

Could you do a detailed "how to" video on belt retainers? I built a racing/mudding mower and the belt won't stay on it for 30 seconds!

hes got a belt from the engine running a peerless gearbox, which drive a chain output to a go kart type solid axle

Fearless, been watching yours, King's, Computer's and Mean's channels just learning from what I've been seeing and am now hunting for a mower to convert myself (AKA money pit, thanks lol) and possibly see if I can start or join any off road mower clubs. Even got my 2 daughters a little interested in it lol. Judging from the comments I've heard in all your guys' video's it looks like the Murry is about the best choice to convert would you agree?

I also wanted to make a suggestion on the lifted mower. Instead of having a single sprocket like you have now, why not run a sprocket to each drive wheel and do away with the axle for more clearance? Kind of like how the Hummers are set up. Not sure what to do for a brake then... maybe a trans brake?

Thanks! I like the murray platform because it's really light, comes with good steering, has an mst- transaxle, and the widebody's have a body on frame design, instead of a pan chassis. Just avoid any machines mtd style drive system. But I would look for anything cheap... I would buy a $50 craftsman that doesn't run before I bought a good running murray for $200. You could build a pretty sweet rig with that extra. $150 And the lifted is most likely going to be disassembled, and it's parts used to build my next project.

Fearlessfront Sweet man, thanks for the advice. You should do a video about how to start your own mower project and what to look for when shopping for one and maybe push a spot for you favorite places to shop for parts. Unless you have, but pretty sure I haven't seen one yet.

Shawn Mackinnon it's a bit cheaper as well. Good running mowers go for dirt cheap. If you got some tools and imagination, it's very rewarding. What I do, i just have like 5 of em. So anytime my buddies are game we just pack up beers and go buck through the woods. Its an absolute blast and its not as dangerous as atv's.

The front tires are too wide, they are too hard to push. Try using some narrow dirt bike front wheels/tires. That's how the old Ford Model T pushed through very deep mud.

You should really look into using belt gates, like Stretch44875 and I do. We run our stuff about as hard as you do and have not popped a belt off in years. Dead simple setup, and easy to get the belts on and off. PM me on the ATLTF and I'll send you the link to the thread where we discuss it.

Shannon Fisher 3 things. Pulley swap, governor delete, and a mikuni clone carb. The bigger carb will really wake them up, but if you do a governor delete with it to do the carb any justice, you should do a pulley swap to keep the engine underload. Tge flywheels werent built for those kind of RPM's and they will grenade if you get crazy with it which is really dangerous. So be careful with it. You can look into racing flywheels to avoid that problem but then the crankshaft is the next weak link
