The van looks great 👍. It is so nice and spacious..I luv the peaceful look...did you get a bug net for the back "window". Bc a lot of hotter countries come along with heavy duty bugs...that luv to bite And cause illnesses.. And you definitely don't want them as bunk mates...lol..Tell mum that the cushions and rolled tarp looked great too..even if it was only temp..And you guys did a great job on Ben mums cottage it is sooo nice..looking forward to your travels...keep on vlogging.

Yes we will! The fixed bed was great, but it meant half the van wasn’t usable 90% of the time. Will let you know how we get on with the new layout ☺️

Lol we had air con, but for some reason our van now has been stuck on hot air blowing since spring 2020 😂 travelling in the south of France in the summer was pretty unbearable but we took it to a ford garage in Italy and they just told us to get it done in the UK cheers guys 😂

Hey, thank you so much! We’re in love with her so much already! We haven’t used the toilet yet - we’ve only been on the driveway so didn’t need to use it. We’ll let you know how it goes once we’ve given it a test run 😅 We’re due an update on our travel plans, and will hopefully get this out in the next few weeks. But Covid is actually the least of our worries! Civil war is proving to be a bit of an obstacle 😔

Air con is such an essential, you wouldn't have survived Africa without it. My breathing nurse recommended we found a source of locally produced honey to gently get used to the local pollen! So pleased for you both/ three. River is happy anywhere as long as she is with you two.

Brilliant finish guys. The van looks amazing. You both look happier now the weight of the build is finished. The new cushions really set the table off, very nice. (who made the cushion covers???). That air con will make a massive difference - I 'get by' with marine fans (but i don't have a pet on board) and some days I long for some of the cool stuff.... Thumbs up. Hi Chesca and Ben! I’ve been really busy today and I’ve only just got to watch! Working AC is so nice.. 👌, the back door curtains are great makes it look so spacious. I love the pattern on the centre piece table, it honestly looks like a tiny flat! I never thought making a tea could be so good! Sitting by a bonfire 🔥 with a cup of tea just smells so good and it’s peaceful listening to the crackles of the flames.. I used to have hay fever too. I found out that if I don't eat any gains/ wheat for 2 weeks in March/April (start the first day you feel the symptoms), I don't have it for the whole year. I don't take anything for it, I just do the 2 weeks with no grains/ wheat and voilà it's gone! 😍 I have 2 friends who do the same and have the same result so I thought I'd share! ❤

ps: sometimes I forget as I've been doing it for years and the symptoms are so mild now, or I get too tempted and eat grains/ wheat! Then I just do the 2 weeks whenever I get around to it with the same results. However, when I first started doing it in March/ April (depending on the year) was definitely the best x

The foam is great! Hasn’t taken us long to get used to it, but I think we’re still going to get a mattress topper… just to make it extra soft at night 😄 We have standard foam, topped with memory foam and Dacron wrapped. So far, would definitely recommend 💛

The van looks amazing guys! Ben I have a friend who suffers really badly with hayfever and he was suggested Kenalog injection by someone in the medical field. It’s not available in the NHS but tells me it’s well worth the money

Great been epic guys. Feels like there is so much more living space in the back no cupboards above seating / bed area. Hope you got enough storage for the big trip. How did it pan out weight wise ?

Thank you Ian 🥰 Yeah we deliberately kept that area open to keep it spacious. Should have more than enough storage still - it’s a good lesson in only taking what you need. We’ll chat more about weight in the upcoming tour, but when she went in for her MOT on Monday, weight came in at 3140kg - very happy!

Yes, totally agree! I think the first build for anyone is always a trial and error and what you think you might want out of a van… I know a few people who would do things differently a second time around. We’re just grateful we’ve been able to do the re-build when we have. And while we did have some great trips in 2019/2020, I do have the feeling that the real adventure starts now 🥳 🗺
