I like that the nightmare mode gives you Tinker With Wands Anywhere as default. Sanity incarnate.

You could play the "Bad Dream Mode". It is a mod by theNunn, and it makes the worldgen the same as normal mode, but applies all of the difficult effects of nightmare mode to enemies, wand/item gen, and yourself.

Lmao hi! Thanks for the shout out. I will say, one individual has had a mod conflict that resulted in their stats getting wiped. So I don't recommend using the mod with tons of other mods enabled.

Hang on, 24+ hours of gameplay for a video? I'm definitely a long-form video content enjoyer and I'd love to watch that run here. Noita content is perfect to binge and we would all learn so much from that much gameplay. I'd love to see it uploaded. Loving this run so far as well btw. Nightmare mode seems more fun to me than the normal game too! More chaos in Noita is what I like, and the guaranteed EWA at the beginning lets you customize to the max all the way through the run.

Hey man, thanks for the content, just got my first win and I couldn't have done it without your wand building videos. Was a fun run, did an early fungal shift and managed to turn toxic sludge into worm blood which was awesome, no toxic and free all seeing eye!!!! The game was however very stingy with utility spells and I didn't get any teleports or metal digging until Jungle so a lot of Polymorphine was consumed to trick the gods. But overall a pretty chill run had a very close call with a broken Polymorphine bottle and I was just able to fly my sheep to cover from the enemy onslaught, I guess using so much polymorph for wand tinkering ended up saving me as I was quite experienced in sheep mobility by then.

29:05 I would use a digging bolt at the beginning (outside of a spell block) with all the manas and heavy spread then concentrated light with some spell wrapping too ofc to double cast the digging bolt something like, add mana-add mana-heavy spread-digging bolt~freezing charge-concentrate light~reduce spread(-add mana-add mana-heavy spread-digging bolt) should work for every 3rd (3rd not 2nd because of the wrap)frame, you would want to test it to see if heavy spread has enough cast reduction if not then move one of the add mana over to the second block, also idk if heavy spread has enough recharge reduction to make spell wrapping unnecessary allowing you to put concentrated light first and wrap it (probably move most of the add mana there too) making it it cast, concentrated light spellblock~digging bolt spellblock~concentrated light spell block, which would work alot better but ofc that depends on if heavy spread has the recharge reduction 1:10:07 bloodlust only activates self damage after 1 frame, digging bolts last one frame, free extreme damage for no risk

Awesome stuff! How bout a challenge run where you can't keep the same wand for the entire run. Perhaps every 2nd biome you have to trash the existing wand or something like that? Would be fun to see some more unusual spells

dunk says he never lost in his life, he just gracefully failed once or twice but never lost, if your rock has like larpa orbit then explosive denotator will make it explode same with i think sparky bounce even though sparky bounce doesn't do anything noticeable and some other modifiers do funny things

I just passed 800 hours and ive got 9 nightmare wins and about 3,000 deaths from it. Always take glass cannon or concentrated spells and plasma+homing is your best friend

I'm 45 minutes into the video so I don't know if this gets answered later, but why are the particles behaving differently in Nightmare? The water at 46:57 looks so blocky and earlier there was gas that wasn't flowing properly either. Is this just a feature of Nightmare?

The weird gas around 21:30 is present in normal runs. Idk why it acts like that. Water being blocky and glitched isn’t out of the norm for the normal game when you walk away somewhere and back, unloading and loading in flowing water.

@@MrCool-fm5ty if you walk over only a pixel or two, sludge doesn’t always stain you but still does tiny damage. Acid is the one that does large damage, toxic sludge is tiny damage at low health

600+deaths here and normal mode is still a nightmare for me...and after I started cheezing the bridge boss it got even worse. like I started seeing jungle monsters spawning on first lvl more often than not WTF. Am I shooting my self in the foot by doing the BB even if I don't' pick up the orb?

That has nothing to do with it. Biome modifiers are totally random. If anything cheesing squiddyboi is the most surefire way to stack the odds in your favor. If you manage to get a personal fireball thrower spell on the 1st-3rd floors you should go kill the alchemist too. Pyramid boss is super easy and sometimes drops some high tier stuff but eh i dont bother with him much

Now I changed tactics and practicing speed running the final boss...yesterday, got 2 wins out of 10 tries...now just need to get in this as consistent as I did with Tentacle Daddy and i'll continue trying to score the Alchemist

How is it that dunk gets ganked so rarely and only after getting OP wands. Like last 10 deaths I had I was suddenly surrounded by 10+ slimeballs/bats/multiblobs or shit ton of Hiisi while still having starter wands or spells because of shit rng on spell/wand drops...if i got good spells and wands => Ukko or my ghost comes from offscreen...

Starter wand at Snowy is some bad luck, I've had it happen too but it's rare. That kind of bad luck sticks in the mind more than the runs where you're loaded up by the mines and already well on the way to a long run. Speaking of which, the daily for today (Jan 10 2023) is a MONSTER seed. Mines are more loaded than I've ever seen AND alchemical precursor mixes itself at a portal (unstable tele toxic and oil)
