I just got this board in 12'6 30" size. When I put the board on the water, floating without a paddler both front and back are high up(like a banana shape) The back is so high up that the fin box and about a 1 centimeter of fin is above water. I'm not sure if I got a faulty board or if that board suppose to look like that.?

I have never seen a Starboard with banana shape but all can fail. My is flat on the water, only the rocker that is above water and it touch the water just after the nose ring and after that the board is flat all the way. Feels like something is wrong. Contact your dealer and tell them about the problem, that is what I should have done.

Hi Dan-Erik! I am choosing a Starboard in a size between 12,6x30 (Zen) and 11,6x29 (Deluxe). Do you think there will be much difference in speed between these boards?

It would be good if you could buy the board without the pump and paddle that you will never use. The board looks great and so does the lovely weather. You must be happy you can wear a t-shirt and leave the dry suit behind. Have fun paddling with Erika on your new SUP boards.

Yes, that is a really good idea. I guess most people don´t buy as many boards as I. and some extra pumps too. Yes, at home I have started to skip dry suit but on lake and especially if kayaking it will be dry suit on for a while. We have so warm weather now, not so how for Australia but for us, we have around 20-25C both last week and this week.

Thanks, I hope I will have that! Well, I tried to install a lock in the door, it didn´t want to fit, in my age I should know that more power don't help, so I slipped into the hand that held everything. That is how it happened. Not a big thing but I feel it even today, it´s getting better every day.

You tested and own quite a few boards. If you could choose from all those boards only three for you and your wife, which would you chose and why?

Hmm...difficult question, of the boards I have, we would choose Allstar 14x26 and Deluxe lite 11´6 for me, Allstar to go fast but it have bungees so I could have camping gear with me and Deluxe lite when travel. Erika would only choose her NSP 14x25 because it´s fast and light.🤗

Hi. I’m struggling to choose the right starboard sup. Do you think that 14inch touring Deluxe light would be the sweet spot if you have to own just one sup?

Why did you choose the 11’9 over the 12’6 Touring M? The 12’6 Touring M is just 700 grams heavier and is 1 inch wider.

I want the narrowest, 29" is thick, would have liked a 14x26 in deluxe lite construction. I'm used to paddling 24.5" and 26", hits the paddle in the board with this 29". It's possible that 30" instead of 29" didn't make a difference, but that's what I thought when I bought. If you buy a 12'6 you will go little faster!🙌🤗

@@danerik.westerlind There is an All Star 14’0″ x 26″ in Deluxe Lite construction. The Starboard website is inconclusive in which bag it comes. It mentions both the Roll Bag and the Deluxe Board Bag.

Yes it´s but as I understand it, Allstar deluxe lite have the eva standing tray which means that the board does not roll so small. Light weighted but rolls big, or do you think I got it wrong? I also miss bungees on Allstar deluxe lite. But it could be the board I buy if I replace my Starboard 14x26 that I have today.

@@danerik.westerlind I don't know if you are right and the Dutch importer didn't know either. They will get a shipment from Starboard at the end of this week or early next week and then they will be able to answer these questions. I am in doubt between the All Star and the Touring (12'6"). For now, I am leaning towards the Touring, because the All Star has no bungees and no front handle.

Today I spoke to the importer. The All Star is Deluxe Lite will indeed come in a larger bag, as it is too big for the Roll / Re Cover Bag. There are, as you also say, no bungees and handle on the front. I ordered the 12'6" Tourer in Deluxe Lite.
