First Person 2017: Irene Weiss

Through the First Person program, Holocaust survivors have the opportunity to share their remarkable personal stories of hope, tragedy, and survival with thousands of visitors at the Museum. This program was recorded on April 6, 2017. It features Irene Weiss, who was born in Bótrágy, Czechoslovakia, in 1930. Irene survived Auschwitz and Ravensbrück before being liberated by Soviet forces in 1945.

Lets no forget what we are listening from the few survivors that are still with us. Because today sadly we are repeating the mistakes made 75 years ago. 😢
