We are on a repositioning cruise from England to Barbados. Today we made our first of 5 stops on the island of Madeira which is owned by Portugal. It is a gorgeous island with yummy food, markets, banana plantations, and picturesque streets! Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. The first video I watched was a Tesla Cybertruck (of all things) and when I realized you were travel bloggers, I went to the beginning after watching several different series. it's taken about 2 months to get to this point - and the first thing I thought was "they're going to miss the ship!" when I saw you getting off in Madeira. HY !! I'm Portuguese and I never went to Madeira !! ehehehe. Nate is a little bit like Ronaldo, yes! I write this message just to say thanks for all the vlogs. You are amazing!!! One day I saw a vlog and I loved it so much that I started watching it from the beginning. It was 4 years late and today is the first "only" vlog with 2 years late. Have you been to Porto yet? I traveled through Portugal once (a free stopover using points from Canada to London....I think they reroute you awkwardly so you'll end up paying for a direct flight). To me, Portugal gave me a few days to get rid of jetlag before I met up with family, and I felt safe enough to tour around during the day. On the way to London I spent a few days in Lisbon. It was okay, but a lot of big cities look like other big cities. But I stopped in Porto on the way back (2nights, 1 day). Oh, I knew I was in Europe. I was in awe. Highly recommend.

I love when you two check out the produce markets. I work in a specialty produce store in Canada and we get stuff from all over the world. I have a passion for beautiful produce and would lose myself in these markets. I am always amazed at the size of some of the stuff. Like the custard apples were huge.

A repositioned cruise sounds dreamy. You can rest in between the islands you port at and really enjoy the ships food and entertainment.if I ever go on a cruise I’m going to seek out this route... a longer relaxing trip with ally the nice food you can eat.

Great job, guys. Madeira was one of my favourite ports of the many I’ve visited in 36 countries. I’m a former cruise ship musician...and for the record, a vessel that size is called a ship, not a boat. A boat is a small craft. Not being picky, just letting you know 🙂 Keep up the great work!

Lol I showed this to my parents and they cried. (Both of their natives. lived there for 25 years and there). We really don’t get enough light on this GORGEOUS PLACE I’ve visited 6 times and counting..... even joined months of school so.... 7 mos of school (I guess lol).
