@johnnydjiurkopff
@johnnydjiurkopff 2 жыл бұрын
@@craigrainbow7674 as far as the black powder arms, they don't usually fire cartridges without some amount of modification and the legal definition of a firearm requires self-contained munitions. You can actually make nitrated paper cartridges to put in most black powder pistols if you're dedicated enough though.

The Cardboard guns are for training, there are some out there videos of ukrainian civilians being trained on how to handle a firearm using cardboard cutouts. They probably didnt have enough AKs issued to them for civilian training purposes at that time so they opted to use cardboard cutouts for some

I’d have signed up to help Ukraine fight, I don’t have shit else to do. Seems like a highly advanced airsoft war where you don’t respawn. Reminds me of the German biker gang that went to Afghanistan or something years ago to help fight. There was a picture of them climbing the afghan mountains with their biker vests on and one dude had an ak with a drum mag.

A bit of on the ground info about Ukraine and languages. Yes, most Ukrainians are functionally bilingual with Russian. But it's a big country, the size of France, and there is a great deal of local dialect variation from place to place. Maybe in the larger cities you can get away with having a seemingly fluency (with a funny accent). But in the countryside, surrounded by farmers from small towns, the accents are much easier to pick up on, especially for people who live there.

I saw a thread on the acquired russian heavy artillery vehicles, they wrap their sub standard chinese made tires around the rims when going through mud, wouldn't be surprised if they had already swapped out all of their spare wheels by the time they got half way.
@alexpriestson5371
@alexpriestson5371 2 жыл бұрын
Guys Saran-wrapped to trees are Ukrainian looters ( signs attached to some read “I stole”). Crowd cat calls them for not being loyal to their own people. Humiliation vs elimination. -same language can have multiple accents ( eg. American English has Southern vs Valley girl vs New York, UK has Northern Irish vs Scottish vs London accents). Specific words and pronunciations are give aways/ plus Ukrainian has a ton of regional dialects.

I’ve worked with and around heavy equipment. I think the reason a lot of these wheeled vehicles are breaking down and getting stuck is the tires have set outside in one position for too long and have gotten brittle so the second they are actually used they rupture. We use to have a bunch of old military vehicles and the manual said they had to run every three months to remain operational. I’m guessing the Russian equipment has just sat too long.

In terms of Russians potentially fitting in with Ukrainians. I'm no expert in the matter, but there might also be subtle regional accents that could give you away. In American terms, it might be like a Texan accent vs a Carolina accent. Most people who don't live there would just be like "Oh, its just a southern accent. Whats the difference?" But if you know, you could pick them apart pretty easily.

Idk if Kyle knows how propaganda works. It’s very difficult to siv through what is and what isnt. which is why it works so well. Also Russia is already on the back foot as no ones gonna believe anything they’re gonna say wether true or not. Their loses are bad but nothing near the loses being portrayed by media. I’m not on their side, but gotta look at both sides. We’d all like (most anyways) for that to be the case but facts are most of the time pretty bleak.
