as a soon to be mom of 5 I cannot tell you how much I value your videos! it can feel so isolating in the world where having 5 kids gets me "stares" or "comments" and I dont know a single person in my real life with as many kids as I have. I see myself as blessed but sometimes it can be hard to remember when so many outside voices say otherwise. seeing your family makes me feel a little less lonely as a fellow christian "mom of many" and I just wanted to say I appreciate your content!

Omgoodness! I love the theme this year! Littl house was my all time favorite show growing up! As I’ve aged I can’t watch it as much because it is so sad! I guess when I was younger I didn’t see it quite as sad! Lol

I truly appreciate your way of life as Christians. I think the one word that describes you both is "genuine" or "gentle" or "honest" or "beautiful" or "Godly". Yes, I think "Godly" is best for both of you. I am so impressed by the way Erin dresses. It is clear that you have not strayed from the way you were raised. I see so many people who were raised in a Christian home but when they leave home, they adopt a more worldly attitude and they dress and act as the world does, all the while claiming to be Christians. The way you dress reflects your Christianity and it is so refreshing to see. God bless you all!

Thank you for sharing so much of your beautiful life! I grew up in a family that yelled a lot. Now as a mom, I'm trying not to yell, but it's so hard when that's all you know. I enjoy watching you and Chad and how genuinely kind and sweet you are to everyone, but especially your children. I pray that one day I can be as calm and collected as you all are with your children.

A few comments about this already, but I agree, when you’ve grown up with parents who yell (and don’t see the harm in it) it’s hard to not get easily overwhelmed and sometimes react the way you’ve always seen your parents react, that fight flight reaction gets activated and it’s a hard cycle to break. I struggle with this in times of overwhelm and stress. Working on it and apologizing when I get it wrong. But I think it’s amazing that Erin and chad were raised the way they were and with parents who did such a good job with them. Would be awesome if they wrote a book or did a podcast on parenting. They’ve been an awesome example from what we’ve seen.

Afraid? I don't think so. I think it's simply a matter of personal preferences and sometimes finances. Why have a big family if you can't adequately provide for them?

@@ga6589 nobody is saying have kids you can’t care for. But I personally know people with large families and people act like they don’t know how to use birth control or the like when that could not be further from the truth

That is an erroneous assumption, just as is the idea that large families are somehow more virtuous than people who have few children or none at all. Through my job, I've known large families where the kids were abused and neglected.

@@noorbohamad5796 No, I am not saying that people are fearful of children in general, which is what your claim implies. It's simply a matter of practicality and concern about being able to provide adequately for them. There's no doubt that people who do have kids worry or have concerns about any number of matters than can present themselves. I know my husband and I did and if any parent claims they have not, they're not being honest. The sad part about these social media/KZbin/reality TV monster families, especially the Evangelical religious ones, is that they are intentionally trying to present the very best side of their situation and can edit out whatever they wish.

Thank you for sharing your personal family answers! You are both are such an inspiration to me. As a first generation Christian (and a first generation homeschooling mom to my kids) I’m so encouraged by you both. Coincidentally my husband and I were just talking earlier tonight about you guys and how intimidating you both can be in a godly perspective thru your content; but rest assured it’s in a convicting way that would just encourage us further in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Everyone’s journey to Christ is different and even hearing Erin’s description of your siblings character proves how wonderful God creates us differently and yet in His image. I would like to ask for you guys Chad and Erin to pray for our family. Just lost our 38yr old son 11/29 and his memorial was 1/4. He left behind a 12 and 4 yrs old daughters. His sister also has terminal Cancer stage 4 age 35 and doesn’t have long. Cancer has taken over her entire body brain, bones and her organs and doctors are keeping her comfortable at this point. She also has two children 14 yr old son and 11 yr old daughter. These are the only two children I bore. My heart is broken in a million pieces. At one point to be honest I got a bit mad at God and told him so but still need all the prayers to get me back to a good place and our family. Thanks in advance. I love you all and your faith.
