I am sure that his intentions are good but feeding wildlife is almost always a bad idea. These animals are going to be getting into conflict with other human beings after he's gone. Speaking as someone who.was "mugged" by a gang of raccoons like this. It was a rather uncomfortable feeling to be surrounded by a pack of wild animals coming out of the dark and when I tried to shoo them away, they began to hiss and lunge at me. I now realize that they were just asking to be fed, thanks to people like this gentleman, but back then I thought that they were going to jump me. :)

It’s amazing how patient they are. Taking turns, no squabbling. A few growlers, but no fighting. They know Mr. Blackwood and they trust him. Mamma let him close to her baby, THAT is trust. God bless you Mr. Blackwood for your love to all critters.

I have a mom and 3 babies visiting. Usually they scurry away when they see me, last night I talked sweetly to them , from a distance, and mom was interested in what I was saying. I love them.

I’ve been feeding a raccoon for two years. It started from feeding a stray cat to “Ricky” the raccoon with kitty. I found the owner of the cat on my neighborhood app after 3 months. The cat “Millie” & Ricky would eat side by side nightly. Well last week “Ricky” bought her baby. It is absolutely adorable. Thank you Jim for your videos and your love for all the fur-babies❤

Since a neighbour shot one of our raccoons for being out in daylight, I've not been sitting out with my friends. I want them to be afraid of humans. I miss them. They got me through covid and depression. I love them so much. Every year, Bella, Clarissa and Blackie bring their new babies to our deck where they know they are safe

had my first baby show up with mom about 2 weeks ago,,, they mean a lot to a guy who is alone all the time (me). my best friend is a racoon. i talk to her shes been a friend for 4 years now and has babies every year, I see her less as winter comes around and spring shes looking for food and is back everyday.
