I recently discovered the Kung Faux series from 2004, which was dirt-cheap licensed kung fu movies remixed and dubbed over by Biz Markie and others, and was embarrassed that the only movies I recognized were "Bruce Lee We Miss You" (boring schlock that Afrika Bambaataa somehow managed to save in editing) and "Amsterdam Connection" (and that was only because of a very very young Bolo Yeung).

"Miller and artist Bill Sienkiewicz produced the graphic novel Daredevil: Love and War in 1986. Featuring the character of the Kingpin, it indirectly bridges Miller's first run on Daredevil and Born Again by explaining the change in the Kingpin's attitude toward Daredevil. Miller and Sienkiewicz also produced the eight-issue miniseries Elektra: Assassin for Epic Comics. Set outside regular Marvel continuity, it featured a wild tale of cyborgs and ninjas, while expanding further on Elektra's background. Both of these projects were critically well received. Elektra: Assassin was praised for its bold storytelling, but neither it nor Daredevil: Love and War had the influence or reached as many readers as Dark Knight Returns or Born Again. Miller would revisit the theme of ninjas several times during his career, including when he wrote the lyrics to the Vanilla Ice song, "Ninja Rap", under a pseudonym." -- Frank Miller's Wikipedia page

kabasinski Len a little random - but what's your favorite anime? I'm sure someone so deeply involved in ninja culture had to have been exposed to at least some!
@yuurei-kun10 жыл бұрын
kabasinski Len I've only seen GitS, but it's very good! If you value the recommendation of a random internet weeb is worth anything, check out Akira (1988). I think you'd like it.

kabasinski Len Len, this is why you need a website where guests can donate to a paypal account to keep your filmmaking machine well oiled. I'd gladly support any indie filmmaker who understands why the '89 Punisher film is still endearing in spite of its many flaws. If you ever did a shoot-em-up/martial arts/vigilante film in that devil-may-care, gritty 1980s style, I'd want the satisfaction that I helped make it happen.

Freddie's delivery of "Oh, I love Michael Bay" is so perfect. It's so casually sincere, I love it.

This was one of the best episodes of wheel of the worst. The win 8 jab, the animal film, Freddie's renditions of the hilarious ideas, and of course the epic ending with Len. Bravo.

I think this is the only web series I've ever seen that I've literally needed to pause at regular intervals because I was laughing so hard and long that I became legitimately worried about not having a chance to breathe.

This episode was great! Freddie is awesome, the artist renditions are gorgeous, the prank call was hilarious, and the ending with Len was just a cherry on top. I love your work, guys. Greetings from Russia.

No matter how great it was to see Len destroy that abomination, his wife's shaking of her head in disapproval was more destructive. And was a more succinct review!
