Jon Baptiste is a musical genius, who is from generations of musicians in New Orleans and a graduate of Juilliard. He won album of the year and several,other Grammys for his album “We Are”. It’s brilliant. Watch his performance of his song “ Freedom” at the Grammys. It’s fantastic and his. speech was so beautiful. While all this is happening his wife is fighting for her life from cancer. Sometimes Life has a way of giving really good stuff and really bad stuff all at once

Jon Batiste won a lot of Grammys this year for his album We Are. I really love his song “I Need You”-it’s a great get-up-and-dance number, like “Sweet” is. If you were wondering why Pentatonix isn’t physically in the video, it was filmed around the time that Kirstie had her baby. Diane Warren is the lady in blue at the office, but to be honest, I don’t know why her name is included as an artist on this song-I don’t hear her at all.
