To everyone who is wondering if he can keep those high notes... YES HE CAN, go check him search his name + THE VOICE FRANCE and you’ll see on the 5-6 videos that he is an amazing singer !!! 🇨🇭😍👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼...And yes, in Switzerland, we speak french too (actually our country speak 4 languages divided in different parts !)
@jankench96224 жыл бұрын
yes it's a ballad, but unlike all the others. His voice will carry it on the night with limited staging, if it is placed between a couple of loud irrelevant songs or towards the end then I can the hear the crowds silence which will be deafening. A winner for sure, well done Switzerland. From Wales.

You can pronounce Gjon’s like „Johns“ in English. His full name is Gjon Muharremaj. He is from the French part of Switzerland, that’s why he sings in French. About his song he says: “Everyone asks themselves why exactly are we here, where do we come from and where are we going. These are key questions, particularly for people from a migrant background. My parents are from Albania and Kosovo. I grew up in Switzerland and it’s my home, these are questions that I think about a lot.” Btw: For me it’s not that I get more bored, the more I listen to it - quite the opposite: I can’t stop listening to it anymore...

Great surprise, again something completely different from Switzerland, and yes, they nailed it again. Fantastic song, his vocals are out of this world, if he pulls this off live I am sure he has a good chance to win. Absolutely mesmerized with the song, with the vocals and with the singer. Its simply winner material. Brilliant.

Switzerland is on a roll!!!! Dramatic French song is my thing and he has a great voice. I like how the delegation choose a completely different song to avoid comparison to Luca Hanni. His high belts can be a love or hate thing. If he could hit one or two of them in head register that may be better.

I didn't think much of it on first listen. But after listening 2 to 3 times, it grew on me alot instead. It's now in my top 5. There's so much emotions in his voice. I think for staging wise, it needs to be all about him with a very atmospheric vibe. It needs to be simple. I got a feeling this will be a jury winner if everything done right. But if the staging fails, I can see this doing an Austria 2019 and not qualify.

I don't divide songs into ballads and the similar kind of divisions. I only divide song into like, i-am-ok-with-it or dislike categories. So complaining there are many ballads is passing by me. I don't get the point of complaining that there are too many ballads, pardon!
@EpixEurovisionGuy4 жыл бұрын
There are many ways to categorise not only songs, but everything really. And you gotta admit, there are a lot of ballads this year. But it's more stating a fact not complaining. I love good ballads and this for sure is one of them. 3 songs from my top 4 rn are actually ballads 😄 but of course I agree that at the end of the day it is most important how you like the song. The type of song can influence that (I know some that automatically rate slower songs worse), but that's another topic. So to conclude, I'm not mad about many ballads and I love a lot of them this year 😀👲👲
@ekaarchvadze95954 жыл бұрын
@@EpixEurovisionGuy I prefer quality ballads rather than pop trash upbeat songs. And I don't get those people claiming Switzerland can't win this year just because it was a ballad to win last year. So should we let Serbia win? (Sorry, but Serbia is my 41st place this year, I loved their Molitva).

Nice review man. Keep it going. They definetly put so much work in this video clip and song itself, but the question is if they can realy keep the same level of interpretation on live stage?. That would be the main factor in my opinion. Now I would place a question mark and give a 60-65% of winning esc.

you seemed surprised to see that the Swiss song was in french. Maybe you can Google some infos about the countries you are taking about before filming the video, it takes 20 seconds from your time and it helps erase common misconceptions. Thank you in avance and apart from that I liked your video. So for the misconceptions I was talking about. Switzerland has four official national languages: german, french, italian, Rumantsch (0.5% of the population). German is the most important one since it was historically the first language spoken in Switzerland. The capital of the country is in Berne, a german speaking region. The first french speaking region of Switzerland is Fribourg/Freiburg, which is actually bilingual and joined the confederation in 1481. We don't have a "traditionnal" president, but a council of seven person who leads the country together with two other councils.

For me is too contrived to be emotional…It doesn't come across as being genuine. The lyrics and all the falsettos are way too dramatic. As a ballad I still prefer Italy.
@EpixEurovisionGuy4 жыл бұрын
Italy is above Switzerland for sure for me too. Beautiful and strong ballad that is at least as emotional, but I agree, more sincere as well
