Farnham is that rare combination of stage presence, charisma, looks, and an all round likeability that just draws people to him. It's seen him survive 6 decades and earn the respect of everyone he meets. And then there's that voice. He performs with the confidence of someone who know that voice is never going to let him down. It's as natural as breathing to him.

This was an encore at the very end of a 2 and a half hour show. John is a powerhouse performer.I was lucky enough to be in the audience the night this was recorded. The world really missed out on what us Aussies have prized for over 50 years. He isn't called 'The Voice' for nothing!

That's Btrett Garsed on guitar and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra really enjoying themselves. Yes, John is a nice guy, he grew up in my suburb and has always been kind and loving. Sadly he just underwent a 14 hour operation on his mouth and throat ( cancer). Sadly he may never perform with that voice again. Here, Australia, he is simply known as " The Voice". Deservedly so. We love him , genuinely.

That is Farnham's encore song after he has sung Help after 2hours plus of singing. In effect he cuts the musicians loose so that they have an absolute ball at the end of the show. The Orchestra cuts loose, the band cut loose, the back up singers cut loose and Farnham adds his brilliant talent to complete the perfection. It's great that you share these oustanding performances so that other people around the world see how brilliant Farnham and his team are... Well Done! :)

John’s band are the best. Most have their own careers but always join him when they’re able. Lisa and Lindsay on backup vocals (Venetta’s retired), Angus on the drums, Brett on guitar. The last time I saw him live in 2010 (21 years after this concert), they were still there. And John’s voice at age 61 - still the same. Could still hit EVERY note. He’s the goat.

Welcome to a John Farnham concert! He does this night after night on his tours. Surrounds himself with the best musicians, many of whom have worked with him for years. His superb back up singers, his intermingling with the crowd and he even had the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra hopping to the beat. Wonderful, wonderful John. He can sing any genre but he fancies himself a rocker ... he can sing it alright but he just looks to nice to be one of those down and dirty rocker types! You noticed the crowd too? Geoff Harvey was the conductor here - he’s a very well known musician and conductor in Australia and quite the character- he was behind the little stand up-stand down routine from the violin players- he’s just a joker through and through and this would have been just a bit of fun for them all - Aussie humour shining through, not meant to be serious at all 😂

I prefer this version to ACDCs. No disrespect to their talent though.

That would have been perfect if it wasn't for the Strat, a Strat isn't an SG..

John would hand pick the best and would wait if he needed to get the musicians they wanted for everyone's date to match tour dates and most would move their dates around to accommodate him as all loved playing with him Why John almost made nothing at tours most spent on tours musicians venues for the public even lost money on some of the tours even though sold out multiple time in same place He enjoyed performing for the people more than the money Only made money in latter years with smaller venues and mainly from recording albums and singles But most concerts where a bust financially
