You'd be better served reacting to the actual composer/performer, Billy Joel. 'Prelude/Angry Young Man' live from Long Island.

Try Rootbeer Rag from Billy Joel. You’d like that one. Not sure why wouldn’t react to Billy Joel playing it?

I thought the timing was rushed a few times but, in the end it was just another song. How is it that the composer always seems to be able to convey the emotion in their song(s)?

Great reaction. I had a similar take on the piece. I felt that while it sounded great from a technical perspective, it lacked depth and emotion. It was definitely fun, but ultimately a bit flat. I hope this leads in to your doing some Tina S guitar reactions.

It’s the performance. Billy Joel rocking this with the band is just unreal

It was good but it seemed and sounded a bit rushed. I’m very familiar with The Billy Joel original and that is what I’m comparing it to. 🎶🎧

Just too intensely constant volume.... and I like piano a lot (first album at 13, Dave Brubeck "Take Five"). Scott Bradlee or Emily Bear (who was playing Take Five at age five), any day of the week. If you're unfamiliar with Emily, check out this duet from March of this year - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKG2d5aCbst0iaM

If he’s a ranger that’s great. If he’s sf that’s different and you shouldn’t mention it

Yes the entire thing was staccato. Talent without inspiration. I am guessing he has something else much better.

Technically good, for a high school music class recital but emotions at all

It's a Billy Joel composition wherein the emotion is mostly conveyed by the lyrics and how they are sung. This was an instrumental version only....Also the original composion involves a variety of accompanying musical instruments. Part of the lyrics say: "I believe I"ve passed the age of conscientous and righteous rage, I found that just surviving was a Noble fight..."

Thank you for pointing out those lyrics!!! Some of the greatest lyrics ever writtten! "I once believed in causes too-had my pointless point of view, life went on no matter who was wrong or right" this man is loved world wide but I still feel like he doesn't get the respect he deserves. The best ever in my opinion! I can explain why but I'm already rambling sorry lol!!!! Just loved that you pointed that out

Why not just listen to the Billy Joel original instead?

I think your time would be better served vlogging about your own hobbies and interests. Otherwise you're really like a food critic publishing their findings before they have ever taken a cooking class or eaten in places that would give them an educated platform from which to make comments, judgements and critiques. You always want to know what you're talking about so when someone (like me) questions your take on something you can give examples to back up your statement. To simply have a series of videos where you listen to something and then explain why you don't like it when you have no background and aren't teaching us anything--I could just watch Survivor. If I wanted to listen to some lady rattle off over and over complaining about stuff she didn't have a clue about or had never tried I would spend the day with my mom! At least then we'd have a nice dinner after. "I mean, I've never heard of you before...I just don't think you quite have the range or the talent for something like this"

Piano robot. Zero dynamics, zero feeling. Probably also doesn't help that I don't like the piece regardless of who is playing it.
