Never use auto-generated captions, just search 'eng sub' in the title. If you Google ANPANMAN you will see a cute little guy pop up, the weakest superhero there is with a head made of red bean bread. He feeds the hungry by giving them a bit of his head. I interpret this as BTS, ARMY or anyone can be a hero no matter who you are, just give a little bit of yourself and you will get that love back. BTS are like Anpanman, giving of themselves but feeding the world with positivity and joy.💜
@borreguitoazul2 жыл бұрын
Anpanman was created by a Japanese in the late 60's, taking a series of stories written in the 70's and then made a cartoon in the late 80's. To date it is still valid and popular in Japan. In Korea it was popular when the guys were kids (90's). Anpanman doesn't have superpowers so he's the weakest hero in the world; he's noble and made of bread and stuffed with red bean jam, so what he does is help those most in need by giving them a piece of his head so they can eat. It's a song from 2018 where BTS compares themselves to Anpanman, they tell us that although they have been beaten (since their debut they have had to overcome hate, discrimination, xenophobia, etc.) they are strong so as not to fall; their power is their songs with which they seek to give encouragement and joy to their fans. So yes, they are our heroes for songs like anpanman with which they give us joy and many others that have very good messages.

68 yo ARMY here. Appreciate you continuing to engage with BTS with honesty and attention. This is a fun song with some nice choreo - you said it's a feel good song and that's exactly right. BTS is definitely a positive influence - that's one of the biggest attractions for their fans. There's a fun video of this song where they're using a bunch of huge inflatables on a live stage. Some videos don't have English subtitles, and the auto-generated ones are useless. If you search for videos with English subs you'll find some for most songs.

I believe this is based on a children's cartoon character. Anpanman is a unimpressive hero that has a head made of bread and he gives parts of the bread to people who need help.

This was fun. You've barely scratched the surface of their music, so I'm happy to be an audience. Just a tip, pick videos that have 'ENG SUB' written on the title to make sure you get it. Have a great performance with ur band this weekend.

As people have said, Anpanman is the weakest superhero (a Japanese cartoon character), his head is made out of bread which he gives to people in need. In the song you can see RM (blue hair) acting the part as Anpanman helping the others up and giving a piece of his head to Jimin. BTS are saying they can't give us much (they are wrong) but they'll give us whatever they can.

As usual there's a much deeper meaning that appears on the surface. Anpanman is a Japanese children's hero and is a red bean bread man and the world’s weakest hero. He doesn’t have any superpowers like Batman or Superman, but is a kind hero who helps those in need and gives to hungry people pieces of his face, which is made out of red bean bread. If Batman and Superman are star heroes that can fly anywhere in a flash, Anpanman is a bourgeoisie hero who is always nearby and stays by your side for a long time. BTS compare themselves to the character Anpanman. The artists said they wanted to convey their desire to give people hope through their music and performances in the song. By comparing themselves to not the world’s strongest hero, but the world’s weakest hero, BTS stays true to their message with the idea that rather than being a hero just because you’re strong, you can be a hero even if you’re weak. Auto generated subtitles will never be right. There are versions of this song that do have subtitles. Without them you are always cheating yourself out of some of the understanding of the song.

Anpanman is a Japanese character. He is considered the weakest superhero. Pretty much his head is made out of Bean Paste and he goes around giving parts of himself to the hungry, safe others,etc. BTS compare themselves to Anpanman. They are giving parts of themselves (their art/music) to help uplift people. I also interpreted that we all can be a hero to people around us. Just our small actions to people around us can save someone. Let us all be an Anpanman to everyone around us. We don’t need to have super powers to help other!!! Thanks for reacting!! On of my favorites!!

You are so right ☺️ and I agree with you about BTS. Anpanman is a feel good song and the lyrics just shows how humble they are. They gave the humble bread man (anpanman) a new meaning of being a superhero to others even in their own simplest of ways. And to some extent BTS is like an anpanman, who give joy and hope to people who are unhappy, depressed and just lonely. That's why I love them bec they came into my life when I needed it and in a way they save me everyday 🙂 💜.

It DOES matter that you're proud of our boys. It means you're ARMY. Welcome 🤗 That's exactly how we all feel about our boys. This was a very enjoyable reaction because I see the realization dawning on you that BTS is super special and that they have a positive influence and message for all who listen. They make you happy whenever you see them perform. I like that you're doing a lot of live recorded videos. I think those showcase their talents even more than the videos. ( Although the videos are awesome, too.) You've come a long way since your first reaction to BTS, ' Black Swan'. I bet if you went back and reacted to them, again, after studying the lyrics, it will hit you very differently. This song is one of their most symbolic. It was inspired by Martha Graham's statement that an artist dies two deaths, first when they are no longer able to perform physically or if they no longer love what they do. The second is when they actually die. The first death is always painful. The music video is inspired by both the movie and the ballet , "Black Swan." This is obvious in the choreography which is modern dance and even some ballet, showcasing the boys ' talent and versatility. PLEASE react to BTS Room Live Festa 2021. It's a medley of some of their songs from their earliest days 2013 to 2021. This is their best live recorded performance, hands down. You can also react to BTS Tiny Desk Home Concert. Both were performed during the pandemic.

The key to Anpanman if I have it correct is that his head is either a cookie or some kind or bread. He gives pieces of it to people in need, losing energy with each piece. So he is not a classic superhero. BTS is saying they want to be like Anpanman. They should not be viewed as conventional superheroes with super powers but a new kind of caring and altruistic superhero.

This is a fun song and I love the little bop they do at the end. I know you say you're not able to comment on their clothes but you had a go so, well done. You did pronounce, Anpanman, correctly. He's a very strange super hero but the idea of feeding those in need is a good one.

if you want a song that's completely different from everything you've heard so far, go with Outro: Tear by the 3 rappers. They wrote and composed it themselves. No music vid. I suggest doing a color-coded lyric video so you know who is rapping which part. And then follow it up with this iconic live performance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3XYkn19jspre7M Singularity by their vocalist V is also different from what you've heard. There's a music vid for it, it's titled "Singularity comeback trailer". A lot of their solo songs on BTS albums will have "comeback trailer" in the title of the music video, so don't be confused by that. Singularity was primarily written by their rapper RM, he wrote it specifically for V to sing.

Thanks for learning about BTS. We appreciate your efforts, and honest opinions. I HATED Anpanman. At First. I thought it was lightweight fluff. I was wrong. When I looked into it a little more (and I can't remember WHERE I looked!) I learned it's actually based on an anime character.Anpan is a kind of bread roll and Anpanman was a children;s cartoon, where the little man who's head was made of anpan, would fly to the rescue of hungry people. He had no skills and no strengths, all he could do was offer them pieces of his head to keep them going. Afterwards eh had to rest and let his head grow back before he could help someone else. It's an example of such self sacrifice to help others, of the weak actually being able to help others. It is no accident that BTS would make a song about Anpanman, because they don;t see themselves as stronger than other people, or more special, but they do believe that they will give of themselves to support others, and that includes (more than once) self0sacrifice, too. Now, well, I love Anpanman, because this story is actually what it is about. For definitive translations (which include information on background and culture) you could look at www.doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com - incredibly useful. Actually I think that's where I learned about the origins of this song...

I really love this song. They really have many good B-side tracks. Well, their songs are all great but we can't deny the fact that there are songs that are not our cup of tea. Although BTS released many different genres and I am the type for person who is not into music that much, I love to listen to most of their songs regardless of genres. I even learned to love old school rap so much because of them.
