You are so very cute with your reactions. Dimash was 22 years at The Singer. Youngest ever on the show and only foreigner. At that time he spoke no Mandarin, very little English and relied on translator. He was homesick and family was concerned. His dad came and stayed for several weeks. In Kazakhstan generations of family live together with paternal grandparents raising first born grandson (Dimash). The culture is fascinating. Most of Dimash’s family are part of his team that travel with him. Team includes close Kazakh friends that trust each other and stay grounded. Strong support system and morals. Dimash is equally incredible as a man and as an artist. ❤❤❤

The "I am Singer" is a contest for professional singers in China. It runs for 14 weeks, new song every week. This performance was the second week. Dimash started with SOS the week before and become an instant mega star over night. Dimash was very shocked, even a little frightened at first, needing body guards for the first time in his life. After a week of adoration, it is no surprise that he moved into being cheeky. Dimash was very lonely in China, accustomed to being with his family always before this so was very very excited to see his father. He said later that if he had known his father was watching, he would not have been so cheeky.😂😂 Dimash was the clear winner of this contest but came in second as the contest had a rule that only native Chinese could win first place. The people were outraged so the next year the rule was changed and a foreigner chosen as first to placate the people. After that, the contest went back to doing as it always did.🙄 Great reaction👍 Vitas was not as high plus he sang in easier steps up not smooth like Dimash. Vitas rerecorded Opera 2 to mimic Dimash after all the hype over this cover.😉🤭 🥰🥰Much love from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

Glaub mir, Jenny, du hast bei weitem noch nicht das krasseste gesehen. Er hat so viele unglaubliche Lieder nicht nur auf seinem Kanal. Da hast du noch viel zu tun, wenn du weiter machen willst. Es lohnt sich. Toll, dass du auf das längere Video mit seinem Vater reagiert hast. Opera2 war die zweite Aufführung des The Singer-Wettbewerbs im Jahr 2017 in China. Das Lied ist auf Russisch. Eine Sprache, die er auch fließend spricht. Das Original stammte von dem berühmten russischen Sänger Vitas. Das Lied ist in China sehr berühmt und beliebt. Und es ist kein Opernlied. Das ist nur der Name des Liedes. Das Publikum wusste bereits, was es erwarten würde, war aber sehr überrascht, als Dimash dreimal den Ton anhob. Vitas aber nur einmal. Dimashs Vater kam aus Kasachstan, um seinen Sohn zu unterstützen. Allerdings wusste Dimash bei seinem Auftritt nichts davon. Ich glaube, es war am Anfang sehr schwierig für ihn. Du musst dir vorstellen, dass er bis zu diesem Wettbewerb in China 2017 nie allein war. Dimash hat wie viele andere Kasachen die Tradition, mit der ganzen Familie unter einem Dach zu leben. Er lebt mit seinen Großeltern, Eltern, einer Schwester, einem Bruder und weiteren Verwandten im selben Haus. Und nun musste er alleine nach China, kannte das Land nicht, kannte die Sprache nicht, kannte die Traditionen oder den Lebensstil in diesem Land nicht und sprach bis dahin (fast) kein Englisch, außer vielleicht „Danke“ und „Mein Name ist Dimash“. Es kam nur ein Dolmetscher mit, und das im Alter von 22 Jahren. Für mich war er damals fast ein Kind (mein Sohn ist 21, das kann ich mir vorstellen…). Und nach diesem Auftritt sah er seinen Vater. Das war das so schön und emotional. Das Publikum ist übrigens auch die Jury und die Leute hinter der Bühne sind die anderen Teilnehmer. Während der Aufführung von Opera 2 flirtete er mit dem Publikum auf eine Art und Weise, die zu diesem Zeitpunkt eigentlich nicht seine Gewohnheit war (das hat sich inzwischen glücklicherweise geändert). Und hinterher sagte er, dass es ihm wirklich unangenehm sei, dass sein Vater ihn so sah🤭. Zum Glück hat er es erst hinterher herausgefunden, denn ich liebe es, wenn er so auf der Bühne ist. Ich kann dir nur zustimmen, ich liebe diesen Gesichtsausdruck bei Dimash. Bitte reagiere als nächstes auf Adagio. Aber bitte, bitte🙏🙏🙏auch die Version The Singer 2017 in China an. Sie ist die beste. Die ist so emotional, weil er in dieser Show buchstäblich ums Überleben gesungen hat, da er in der letzten Folge fast rausgewählt worden wäre. Deshalb musste er bei Adagio alles geben. Die Familie ist sehr eng verbunden und damit sind nicht nur seine Eltern gemeint, die beide Sänger sind - nach Kazachischer Tradition wurde Dimash als Erstgeborener primär von den Grosseltern grossgezogen (die ganze Familie lebt zusammen) damit sich die jungen Eltern ihrer Arbeit witmen können - er nennt auch seine Grosseltern Mama und Papa. Dimash hat noch eine jüngere Schwester Raushan (die auch eine sehr schöne Stimme hat, aber einen anderen Kariereweg eingeschlagen hat) und einen kleinen Bruder, Mansur, der Musiker ist und manchmal mit ihm auf Konzerten auftrit.

Die Botschaft steht bei diesem Stück im Vordergrund, mit meisterhaftem Gesang und Musik. Beim Titel Daybreak (Bastau) ist die Hintergrundstory auch sehr wichtig: ein realer und tragischer Vorfall. Sehr emotional. Dimash haut einen nicht nur mit seinem technischen Können um, sondern auch mit seiner Fähigkeit Gefühle auszudrücken und zu übertragen. ❤ In dem Sinne: jetzt vielleicht Sinful Passion? 😊 Viele liebe Grüße!

Das war alles noch gar nichts. Er kann so viel mehr. Pop, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Oper… auch ohne vocal acrobatics ein brillanter Performer, Tanzeinlagen, selbst komponierte Songs, Schauspieler in seinen Musikvideos (die alles andere als 0815 sind) … Er ist einfach das komplette Paket mit Hang zur Perfektion in allem was er tut. Vielleicht kannst du nach Prag auf sein Konzert am Freitag 22.11.2024, da Düsseldorf ja nicht klappt.

Das habe ich auch überlegt, da bin ich aber erst um 5 mit der Arbeit fertig und brauche aber fast 5 Stunden nach Prag 🤯.. Konzert ist dann um 19:30 das schaff ich niemals leider🙈 ich muss das auf ein anderes Mal verschieben, wie ich es Dreh und Wende es funktioniert im November einfach nicht😶🫣

Hello Jenny, thank you so much for the great reaction. It is much appreciated. Opera 2 by Dimash is simply breathtaking. Apart from the brilliant high notes that seemed to go on forever, his voice has so much warmth in it. Truly phenomenal. Bravo Dimash. Tolle Reaktion 😊 Der Besuch vom Vater war eine Überraschung für Dimash, der die ganze Zeit Heimweh hatte. Er war das erste Mal alleine weg und hat seine Familie vermisst. Seine Eltern sind übrigens auch berühmte Sänger. Dass er mehrmals nachfragt, ob er gut gesungen hat finde ich irgendwie lustig und sehr liebenswürdig. 😊❤ Schade, dass du nicht zum Konzert gehen kannst. Keine Chance auf Urlaub? Oder Heimreise am gleichen Tag? 😢
