i love the bass you can get from subwoofers. but every system i've heard from a friend has the bass so loud that it's the only frequency you can hear when it comes on. the job of a sub is to support the main speakers by extending the bass frequencies, rather than completely drown out the main speakers

Ive got 3 12' being powered by a jensen 1200w mono block amp, wired to 1.33 ohms, 2 of the subs are in a Skar ported box, and 1 sub is in a cheap sealed box, it hits hard in the trunk of my 2006 camry, i love bass and will always love it, crazy to see your door card flex at 18hz, makes me giddy like a kid again

A co worker I knew had a similar set up like this, what I've noticed is a reason it'll "SEEM" to hit harder then a regular sized car is - (depending on the gauge of wire+amp RMS/subwoofer RMS) having the subs directly behind your back is basically the only reason. Because the front of the vehicle is also space that allows the subs to breathe plus it's so close to the dashboard basically it's like having the subs sitting in the passenger seat... So if anyone spots subs in a truck remember ( subs, amp / basically passenger seat will seem to hit hard but in actuality it's not ) but nice subs though 👍🏿

Pretty much all subwoofers, speakers, and nearly everytbing does technically need to be broken in. I have two 12" 2500 watt skar, and my father has two 3500 watt 15" sundowns and they still needed to be broken in. $100 sub vs $1000 sub, still needs broken. But you made it sound like it has been broken in so thats a good thing.

I own two 12" 2500 watt skar subs, and they needed broken in. My father owns two 15" 3500 sundown subs, and they still needed broken in. Before my skar, I owned a cheap 200 watt 10" sub, and it needed broken in as well. The sound is different when it's not broken in, and the life for the subs will be extended if not pushed too hard while not broken in.

If that's a single 10" sub you have it in the wrong box.. to get the maximum bass from a single 8"- 10" or 12" sub behind your seat, you should put it a Bandpass Enclosure.. you can use your same Amp & put a lower wattage sub but almost Double the Bass just because of the Box
