They wrote this arrangement and were worried she might not like it. She said it was the best arrangement she's ever heard for this song. She's a treasure

Mitch asked his Superfruit (Mitch and Scott side project) fans if he should shave his head. The answer from the fans was NO, so he shaved his head on a Superfruit episode. 😊

They did the video in 3 takes. Scott had reached out to her about ptx covering the song and she suggested collaborating. She insisted that ptx shine a little. This got ptx Grammy #3, and the first Grammy for this song for Dolly, I have no idea how many Grammys she has. Mitch: Mitch had Scott shave his head during a Superfruit vlog because he said that his hair had been badly damaged by dyeing it lavender. He wore hats while his hair grew back.

Sometimes when Pentatonix collabs with others, I get annoyed that they get relegated to singing back-up, more or less. It has never entered my mind for this one. Dolly is such a treasure and country music has always celebrated any accompanying singers, so maybe that has something to do with it. This also shows what a “big voice in a small package” Dolly is, especially standing next to Scott! Oh, and yes, Mitch is the chameleon of the band. Loved your reaction! Peace …

That was fun when they did this. Dolly Parton wrote the song. She recently has cut back because of her husband's illness. Avi Kaplan (aka that bass) and Dolly both live in the Nashville area.

I've heard that Dolly was very impressed with Avi's impersonation of a double bass, and Avi has said that Dolly is his favorite celebrity he's ever met - sweet, genuine, and fun.

Scott shaved Mitch’s hair off in a Superfruit video, if you want the whole story. 🤪 This won them their third Grammy. There is also a live version floating around out there on The Voice finale a few years back where they sing it with Dolly and Miley.

Hi Nick! She certainly is amazing! They really provide incredible backing. This is such a fun song!, I find myself doing Avi's part an octive higher. I love the bald.
