Korn, much like Linkin Park, was one of the first groups who really caused a shift in the genre. Fusing rock/metal and hip hop elements of rapping & heavy bass, Korn is truly a pioneer in the rock/metal genre. Crazy to think this song came out 22 years ago.

It was Eminem and Marilyn Manson for me but I was a huge fan of Korn too. It’s funny because my friends were popular jocks but i was still kinda an outcast that didn’t belong and took a lot of shit from preppy jocks and as well as like the scene kids who hated that I was friends with a few of the athletes and would get invited to their parties from time to time especially in high school and thought i was a poser and a tool and then like the preppy kids hated that i was just different and the popular girls didn’t really like me although i did better with the girls from the more working class neighborhoods adjacent to ours that would kick it with us in the summer, probably because they figured i had $ even though my family wasn’t all like that or maybe because i wasn’t judgmental or rude but it was tough finding my lane, i liked acting so like girls in theater productions i did turned me onto Korn and got me high and taught me how to play Magic the Gathering.

Yeah that's pretty much the point of Korn, afterall they created the Nu Metal genre 😅 Especially in their song: "Make me bad" and "Someone anyone" which has some of the heaviest shit that ever existed in music industry, even 20 years later today.... It's amazing to think that this was already created in 1999 when there was nothing similar to this sound... Even today, there are not many bands that can come close to their heavyness, only some Metalcore bands like "Upon This Dawning" (2014) can reach the same level of heavy bass....

Aww. One of the old artists my husband and I used to listen to..... back when we went out to play pool. Wrong song... we used to rock Coming Undone, is our Korn jam. 👍🏼😉

KORN is the best! ❤ And you're right, nobody has a voice with that type of delivery Jonathan Davis has! 🤘

That build up of dude making noises to when he says GO and that kinda slow hanging guitar right after is absolutely one of my favorite build up and drops ever. 🤘

Korn def has a drum and rhythm that would be an easy crossover for a hip hop fan.

Tis the reason for the genre which essentially blends aspects of rap with various aspects of rock/heavy rock/metal. 🙃

I really like your way of reacting to "Freak on a Leash" by Korn--it's the second "Reaction" video of yours that I've seen, now (I just saw Slipknot's "Duality" a few minutes ago and liked that, as well), and I like your style... "He just expressin' himself. Sometimes shit ain't got no fuckin' Words!..." (5:12+) Absolutely! Thanks and Good Luck!

4:30 I like that part of the music video because it looks like a demon has entered the room and the singer is carefully chanting spells to it and the entire crew is carefully avoiding it for the spell to work... and then he finally gains control of it and says "GOOO!"

IMO one of the best music videos of all time. Definitely deserving of a top 10 ranking at least. So creative, fantastic pacing, immersive visuals, and badass vocals. What more could you ask for?

Bro I’ve been watching you for Years! Throughout my struggles with alcoholism, I took your “Im Drinking this Water” as a daily reminder that I needed to put down that Vodka. Today I’m One Year Sober! Mad Love!

Easily my favorite Korn song. I’ve noticed you’ve started diving more into Metal. If you’d be down to get a bit heavier into Metal, I think Architects would be a great choice. I’d suggest Doomsday as a first song to listen to by them.
