The Santa Fe redesign didn’t “force” Hyundai to redesign the Palisade. It was due. If anything the Tucson 2022 redesign got similar features to the Santa Fe and was so close in size with the upgrade that those sales were eating into the Santa Fe sales. A $32k Santa Fe became $36k with very few additional features, so people could get a nicer packaged Tucson for same money. Its a BOMB new Santa Fe, but the Palisade will just be getting their proper updates as well, this is just a free preview of whats to come on newer Hyundais in the future. The Santa Fe also became a mini Palisade in 2021 when they used the exact same interior design.

True. This was all planned. Hyundai knew there would be an overlap and yes the Palisade sales would suffer if they kept this car around. Main reason being the boxy look is in trend. People are craving the Telluride more than the Palisade, even the objectively the Palisade is better in terms of features/luxury and ways most people would use this type of car. Car companies plan products so far in advance. I'm sure Hyundai has already started on the next gen santa fe....

So true, was in the market for a new car in 2022 and really wanted a Santa Fe, test drove it and didn’t like it. Then I tested the Tucson only because I liked the look, I have three kids so in the back of my mind I was like no way I can buy this because it’s a small Tucson, well to my surprise my kids fit better innit than the Santa Fe! And I loved it! Loved the drive, the feel, the look…. Have to say the Santa Fe was going to need this major overhaul! I wish it was out there in 2022! Now I have to wait a few years for it. I traded in a 13 Santa Fe for my 22 Tucson and the Tucson for more cargo that my Santa Fe, it’s just crazy how good they upgraded that car

First, thank you for all your reviews. I enjoy watching all of them. Not a huge fan, but I also don't hate it. I think Hyundai had a target market in mind which is the outdoor, road trip, family types. I think it will do super well with those folks. I think the interior is very well appointed with luxury features and plenty of space for all. I don't need a third row nor do I need storage space. So my 2023 Calligraphy gives me the lux and tech I need. Again, this will sell well.

I love everything about it EXCEPT the placement of the rear taillights 😬. They should have placed them higher up to give it a more balanced look. Hopefully when the next refresh happens they will.

My grandma used to say “para los gustos los colores.” I’m not a fan of the exterior or the huge increase in size/price. That said, I really like some of the interior choices, and the key design is one of the best I’ve ever seen. It’s not my style and I don’t see myself buying one, but I applaud Hyundai for their boldness and ingenuity.

A new trend for Hyundai, minor, but huge, the move of the gear shifter (be it stick or buttons) from the center console to a column stick. This frees a ton of room in the center console for things like phone chargers and cup holders... both the 2024 Kona and Santa Fe freed up the center console this way, and the 2025 Tucson is having the same change. Also, at the same time, the shift from 10.25" infotainment to 12" infotainment that finally supports wireless AA/ACP.

Honestly is you need a functional third row why not just get a minivan? The Carnival, Sienna, Odyssey and Pacifica are all solid options and much more functional than any 3 row SUV.

OK, this is exciting. First I’ve seen of the Santa Fe in dealerships. I’ve been following this vehicle for a while. Wondering if you know how these “ dealer ordered” vehicles are being shipped out and what dealerships will see them first? Hesitant to call my friendly local Hyundai dealer just yet. I was told by a Hyundai Rep that these will not be out until late February or March could be the hybrid though. Was just at a car show no 2024 only a 2023 there. I am definitely checking this out.

One question for the new Santa Fe I have not been able to find the answer too yet. Will a 2 row version also be available at any point like the 2023? I intend to buy a Santa Fe one day soon maybe in a year or so, but I don't need a 3 row SUV. I like the features Hyundai has on the limited trim such as the smart park with the key fob which is why i've been looking into the Santa FE.

Just fold the seats down. For America at least, all santa fes come with 3rd rows. Folding them down gives you 40.5 cubic feet of space. Technically the old 2 row version also gave around 40 cubic feet of space if you lifter the rear load floor cover. It had massive underfloor storage. Unfortunately that is no more because of third row being standard for American spec cars.

Price went up noticeably... I think the lowest trim from 2023 to 2024 went up about 5K. To be fair, the new Tucsons were just about as big as the 2023 Santa Fe and cheaper.

Don’t buy from a dealership that adds markup or add-ons. There’s plenty of dealerships in the Midwest where you’d find them at MSRP or under… but most likely you’d have to preorder with $500 deposit.

I can't wait to see how much above MSRP these things will be marked up by dealerships like his. Im guessing $8-12k minimum. Its still has Hyundai bones so good luck taking it in for anything other than oil changes because Hyundai services departments stay packed with all the issues and recalls their vehicles continually have. If you just have to have this Ford Flex reimagined agree to an out the door price NOT a monthly payment before you see the finance manager....also get an extended service plan....you can negotiate the price of the one from the stealership or better yet just buy one from a third party that usually offer more for less. Im sure this guy is a really good dude.....but when you buy a car from him or any of his peers remember THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS! Bye Felicia!

My conspiracy theory is that, they they knew the rear styling would be polarizing but did it anyway in order to have people talk about the Santa Fe as a subconscious marketing campaign.
