Thanks for watching and supporting us during this ownership experience! We hope you found this HONEST coverage helpful because a lot of outlets would have never covered something like this. It has been a stressful situation and we appreciate your understanding that we are ready to turn the page from this. We will keep you all in the loop if Hyundai provides us with more specifics.

I’m glad they did that, I would have returned it the first time when the transmission went. I personally don’t think they would have had offered you that buy back if you didn’t do the KZbin. The lemon Law isn’t really helpful in Massachusetts. But I’m glad you came back safe with the family. Can’t wait to see the new car… ps after reading the comments, I would have to agree that telling your followers to avoid the car. That would be honest.

Well I used to feel the same way as I am on my 4th Hyundai also. The problems with this one started at 23k miles, and today after having the vehicle in 4 times it still has issues that Hyundai won't or can't fix. MY issue is there is a 100k warranty that is in effect worthless, if they can't or won't fix my vehicle, and because I'm not a KZbin channel celeb, they won't even talk to be about my vehicles problems, let alone a buyback. So Marry, and others, I'm moving on from Hyundai like so many others. I will not buy another Hyundai or Kia product. It's not the vehicle I dislike, I love my vehicles, it's the dealership service network, and Hyundai corporate that choose to wash their hands of the many mechanical problems and getting them fixed. @@maryszilagyi-ovaitt3137

As a Hyundai owner, I can say their reliability and customer service is excellent. I have owned 9 Hyundai vehicles since 2010. Four Sonatas, Three SantaFe's and two Tucsons. I still own a 2018 Santa Fe and a 2021 Sonata. My son has a Santa Fe and my girlfriend has a 2018 Tuscon. The oldest Santa Fe,a 2003, drove 335,000 miles and the transmission died, and I had a brake sensor replaced in two of the Sonata's. Thats pretty good quality in my opinion.

Hi there. I purchased a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT in Toronto Ontario back in April. I drove it 1180 km and the transmission disintegrated. The second and third gear exploded into bits. I reported it to the dealership and they originally told me that they would replace the transmission under warranty. I refused. I insisted that they replace the vehicle with a new one. After days of haggling, they agreed. Further to some viewers saying that you got special treatment, I am not an auto blogger, influencer or have any leverage with the auto industry. In addition, Canada has NO lemon laws with the exception of Quebec which just introduced one so if Hyundai wanted to, they could force me to take the car back with a repaired transmission. I am grateful to you guys for posting these videos because I truly believe this influenced Hyundai's decision. The relative speed with which they agreed to replace my vehicle says they KNOW something is wrong at their Alabama facility, where all the affected cars were manufactured, and are trying to get to the bottom of it. Originally Hyundai said they would replace my damaged Santa Fe with a Korean built model but I just discovered the model I'm getting came off the same line in Alabama. Not thrilled about it to be honest. I am a new customer to Hyundai and have NEVER had a problem like this with a new vehicle. EVER. And I've owned 13 new cars and 3 used cars over 30 years from American, Japanese and German makes.

Labor day 2024 I bought a Kia Carnival EX Next few days wife keeps discovering water on passenger floor. Sept 8th on way to church on raining day we could see water leaking into the car, water noise behind dashboard. Sept 9th returned to Kia, they offered to fix it, I told that I won't take a brand new car that spent time at a garage already with leaks. They did their thing for 30min, I was contemplating the Toyota dealership across the street. They gave me new car, we were all happy, shook hands and went our separate ways.

@@jonathanalicea8940 It is a fact that Hyundai/Kia have had significant issues/problems with their engines and transmissions. This has been going on for years. They got a class action lawsuit filed against them that ended up costing them over $3B to replace all of the defective engines and transmissions. Look, it is a fact that Hyundai/Kia are not well built automobiles. That is why they tend to be less expensive up front and then depreciate into the deepest end of the gutter quickly thereafter. I know, they have a 100,000 mile drive train warranty which they proudly point to when selling their cars. However, they are famous and well known for rejecting warranty claims by their customers. What good does a 100,000 mile warranty do for the customer when they have to file a class action lawsuit to enforce the warranty. Hyundai/Kia do a good job in the overall concept and creative design but do a horrible job in building quality and long term life into their vehicles. Why do people continue to buy these brands when there are so many problems with them? They would be better served by buy a better quality automobile that does not have serious mechanical issues and depreciate like the Hyundai/Kia automobiles do.

Had a Samsung fridge for 10 years without a single issue. It was still working fine when I sold my house. Love Samsung phones and flat screen TVs including LG. Never owned a Korean car but rented many. They are my favorite rental cars because of all the standard features they come with compared to other manufacturers and are affordable to rent. Like all brands, you have to do thorough research before you buy. LG fridges had known issues with their linear compressors leading to class action law suit. But their washer/dyers are in the top three most reliable washer/dryer. LG monitors are fantastic in picture quality and features and are relatively affordable. I’d would never buy an American or European car again. Too many problems with every single one I bought. My research agrees with my experience.

The experience one of my grandkids had with the local Hyundai dealership was so bad with the warranty coverage (on a 2021 Tuscan) he ended up selling it at a substantial loss and bought a new 2023 Subaru. After 32,000 miles he's totally happy with this move.

After many engine issues I filed a complaint with Hyundai before I finally got a new engine. The car runs fine now but the experience put a sour taste in my mouth. I had a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe that became undrivable for several reasons after less than 1000 miles. The biggest reason was that it would shut off on me because it thought the vehicle was swerving when it wasn't. It took 4 long months for me to receive a check from jeep after I applied for the buyback. This was after they had the vehicle for 2 months. The dealership did not have a loner. Therefore I went 6 months without a vehicle. The whole process was very painful. The treatment was completely different from the one that Car Confection received.

My parents bought a 2023 Sportage that had the entire EGR system replaced 4 times in a 10,000 mile period. After every time, the EGR would end up failing again. Kia took the car and opened and investigation with the head engineers out of the Georgia manufacturing plant and the car was taken apart and reviewed for 2 months. They discovered the primary vehicle wiring harness was damaged somehow and the bad sectors just happened to be intertwined with the EGR system. Kia replaced the entire wiring harness and no further issues ever came up. I suspect your vehicle is involved in a similar situation. Issues persisting after a full transmission replacement most likely indicates the transmission is not the problem.

Took to dealer. And they reset Compton transmission and it’s been running fine for a week and a half.

Uk Tucson owner. I had issues when bought new in 2022 the mild hybrid model. Kept getting engine warning light coming on after first month of owning the car. This continued for 5 months with the dealer making numerous attempts to fix it. The dealer in Derby UK was very good offered to swap for a new car and we upgraded to a higher spec. I think dealers are in a difficult position after all they didn't manufacture the vehicle but they get all the crap that goes with dealing with the public. Not had any issues with the replacement and its now close to having covered 20,000 miles.

Toyota RULES!! Never understand people who pay big money for products that are so cheaply made.

I owned one Toyota for exactly and had to trade it in because the seats are so bad. If Toyota changed the design of their front seats, I might look at them again.

I bought a 2021 Santa Fe Hybrid Limited 12/23 with ~ 20k miles. The transmission periodically would have a slight shudder or slip. It developed a whine in the transmission on 6/24, 30k miles. Transmission to be replaced. No ETA on that transmission to date; backorder. Same transmission as your '24 Santa Fe. No real progress here! Reliable? I think not! I have a case at Hyundai now. I expect to hear from them by Tuesday. Wish me luck!

That’s Hyundai for you, looks okay on the outside, praying it’s covered by warranty under the inside.

Not in my experience but I know that one whole buyback speaks for an entire brand.

Oh please. Toyota has their problems. They have had to replace thousands of engines in various models over the last 15 years for issues causing excessive oil consumption. The new Tundra and Lexus GX are having engines lock up. All brands are now run by accountants who put profit over reliability. I am sure Hyundai will has gotten it sorted out for all future owners.

@bradleyscarreviews sounds like a massive case of copium. Please don’t compare Toyota and Hyundai completely different levels of reliability. How’s the Santa Fe doing in shop?

Imagine my situation with the 2023 Hyundai Tucson that I had to experience. I live in Fl so definitely need to put to work the AC and for months I was having a bad smell coming out of the vents. The first time I took it to the dealership they cleaned it and said let’s hope that works. Second time with same problem they had to take parts out to check deeply what’s going on and they found mold! MOLD in a freaking new car! They took two weeks to completely solve the problem. So far no issues thank God. But I’m trying to see if I change it later on with another brand.

Would love to see a long term on the new Traverse RS - we were considering the new Santa Fe but pumped the brakes on that given the issues you guys were having - appreciate the update!

We wanted to look at the traverse, both the Zeb and the RS. However, while inventory showed several in our area on the lots, Chevy refused to show them. so they lost out, and we went with a… Hyundai Santa Fe, SEL hybrid. Different engine, different transmission and so far we’re pretty happy. The test will be this weekend as we’re going to do a couple of road trips.

Thanks! You have changed my mind as I was interested in purchasing this vehicle. Now it will be a Toyota 4Runner. Hyundai should prove out new vehicles before releasing to the marketplace. This makes me concerned about their products in general (as well as Kia).
