Honestly, as much as I love this new song, it’s not the best choice for an introduction to Waterparks. They have a lot of material that is a lot stronger and more quintessential to them. Literally anything on Entertainment or FANDOM would have been a much better introduction. Waterparks are literally my favourite band and I am so glad that they are finally on your radar!

You NEED to react to IDKHOW they blend together like every genre out there. They're releasing their first full-length album in like two weeks or something, and their EP is just amazing. Oh, and IDKHOW's frontman Dallon used to play bass for Panic!. And they toured with Waterparks at one point. Please!

as for individual songs, "Dream Boy" is one of my favorites of theirs and it was a single w a mv from their most recent album. Or "stupid for you" and "blonde" were leading singles off of their first two albums, respectively. :)

I liked everything you said you thought this song was about, and you're not wrong, but this song references one of their other songs called Watch What Happens Next and Awsten has said in an interview that while the themes of mental health usually run though their songs this one (or specifically the line where he says, "but I'm hiding") is about how in quarantine, he's hiding from the world (though I also think it's also about mental health like you said and works on both levels)
