This is a slightly bittersweet love-themed song, where the violin and Fuki’s different vocal approach really stand out. Some people criticize this song, claiming the band suddenly changed their usual style just to make a radio-friendly track. There is also a perception that it’s mainly the newly acquired fans who are enjoying it. But that’s not true. Few people in Japan listen to the radio, and it’s unlikely this song is played overseas. Actually, UM originally produced catchy, melodic speed metal for six years when they focused exclusively on Touhou(video game series) arrangements. That’s why, among their recent works, only the “Amaryllis” MV has attracted such a large number of viewers. Most longtime UM fans are Japanese, and many non-newcomers have praised “Amaryllis” in the comments. Lastly, the anime-like tone of this track isn’t some vague attempt to cater to anime viewers. It’s an anison piece influenced by Minami Kuribayashi and e-ZUKA-both of whom the band’s leader, Shiren, has always admired. In fact, similar influences can be found in some of UM’s earlier work as well: Unlucky Morpheus - Blue Tears (2009) kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5Wqp3emjdp0etE

No, no. This is absolutely not suitable for a first acquaintance. 1) [Official Live Video] Unlucky Morpheus「その魂に安らぎを ~ Dignity of Spirit」 2) [Official Live Video] Unlucky Morpheus「殺戮のミセリア」 I highly recommend seeing the band for real.
