I have been in a great deal of suffering and agony for the past 23 years and no chiro or doctor ever told me that my first rib is most probably dislocated and dislodged from the vertebra, except a traditional healer 2 days ago that noticed an unnoticeable asymmetry in my chest x ray.

I have issues with my T1 - T2 ( slide "C" shape towards the left), and gives me do many symptoms, chronic pain and neurologic issues because it causes pressure and misalignment on my upper cervical. Can this help me?. Thank you ✌️

Appreciate this presentation, I have had back pain even when a lad, due to physically abused and hyper mobile joints (I can bend over backwards almost in half for example). If I had the resources, would come get treatment as your work is impressive (stumbled upon the channel and been watching some trying to understand shoulder anatomy). What if your rib tubercle is not prominent? I was able to get a spot that caused nerve sensation and slight pulling in the fingers when on my back. TIA

Hi, thank you for the kind words. The posture of rib tubercle can be subtle and I do not treat based on that but rather on blocked motion w spring testing. usually distal symptoms have origin in the cervical spine., so interesting presentation Let me know if you have any questions trust you are seeing a doctor?

@@jerryheschsr, no problem, they are deserved. Well, we must have done something right as the thoracic tightness instantly went away (could finally move my scapulae toward the spine) and this morning no pain there. The hard part was the second part, I don't have the ability to press, so had my Service Dog partly lay on my shoulder. By the way, find this amusing as PT uses a strap though at home have no such so used a dog leash, then don't have a baseball so used his rubber chew toy. Ha. I have seen my PCP and been X-rayed. Mild lumbar dextroscoliosis and four anterior compressed thoracic vertebrae (my guess is when in a vehicle which was hit very hard in the rear), plus two or three cases of whiplash. I have had knots in my shoulders and along the scapulae for at least 15 years (just turned 34). So with more than one, my PT is not fully sure what is causing the distal sensations (had before and years ago constant in the right and one of their therapists released the muscle, forgot the name, which surrounds the bundle of nerves going into the arms), we been trying trap and first rib and seems to have made more progress than in the past (I stopped going to PT due to health, now back about a year and a half later, armed with these new X-rays). I am having trouble sleeping so figured why not GENTLY try this on my own?
@jerryheschsr
@jerryheschsr 3 жыл бұрын
@@adrielrowley Happy to hear! Rarely occurs but T1 can be stuck in rotation in either neutral, or flexion or extension and requires gentle mobilization, typically a one-time correction, not a repeat adjustment. Also important to screen AC joint very rarely involves SC joint and same for manubrium.
@adrielrowley
@adrielrowley 3 жыл бұрын
@@jerryheschsr, how would one determine this T1 rotation, including X-ray? I had already looked over your AC information and seems not the issue. What is the SC joint? What means by "same for"? In my understanding, for some cases it is both joints and muscle tension?

Thank you, this is literally life savings, I been battling this for a long time. I just graduated DPT program. Been trying to find an effective way for 1st rib mob. How often should I been doing this? Is this something I will have to do for lifelong or. As long as I pair this with good posture and mid/low trap strengthening then it will never come back?
