Dirt Bike Magazine tests the all new 2024 Yamaha YZ250F at Perris Raceway in Southern California. We had Red Bull athlete Carson Brown come out and spin some laps for the video during our testing session. This bike features the same overall upgrades that the 2023 YZ450F received last year. New body work, new seat design, updated engine parts, new air box, new frame, and more. See what the Dirt Bike staff and Carson Brown thought of this motorcycle on day 1. Only thing I wonder is will these new bikes with electrics last the test of time the same as the old 80s and 90s bikes did. I'm about to buy my 1st real dirtbike that I want to keep for years and I can't decide if I want a new one or 2018 with Kickstarter?

Can always bump start it. They are light bikes. I’d go with the convenience of electric start. Starters are pretty standard tech nowadays

@@joenobody2580 your on drugs fr A Yamaha sounds nothing like a 4 stroke LMAO PLUS KTM WILL KICK YAMAHAS ASS NEXT YEAR WITH A NEW ENGINE. Plus ktm won the shootout and has the most horsepower in the 250 class I'm not gonna stay on the rev limiter 24/7 just to get speed and break a piston plus the ktm has a higher top end which is alot faster you don't need bottom end to be fast in the straight aways. But if I couldn't choose ktm or gasgas or Husqvarna I would probably choose Yamaha over a disgusting kx

Not bad but im sold on KTM at this pt. Hard to beat em. Engine's last crazy hrs if good basic maintenance done. No bad 250Fs out there. Wish Suzuki would step up as I know they can. -NY
