You know a guy has been riding for a while when you see him walk a bike at the same time as accelerating it like it's second nature

Very nice Nick! My convert is from '78, the same colour, and pulls a small side car. That helps in the snow and ice! I squeezed in a 4000km trip round southern europe this summer just before the covid travel restrictions kicked in. This is a lovely contrast with being gridlocked for 3 hours in the baking heat (35C) on the autobahn on our last day!

That can't have been much fun. Give me the cold over heat any day. Anything above about 28c is too much for me. I hope the rest of the trip was more pleasant. A Convert combo would be a lovely way to travel.

@@nick949eldo Yes, we had an amazing adventure thanks. A month on the road topped off with a 19 hour hell ride on our last day. But we all need a few stories like this to dine out on!

@@amp2amp800 Yep, like banging your head on a wall, it all becomes a great adventure once it's over. Glad most of the trip was excellent.

As I live in heavy snow area, so I'm waiting for spring bike season every year as you do. Thanks for nice movies, and nice your books, I enjoy reading them during winter season. I also love Moto Guzzi and British motorcycles.

Thanks for the kind comment. We have a little snow again this morning, so no Sunday ride for me. I hope your weather is better and you can soon ride. Stay safe.

I just discovered this video, a little bit late. I have a well used ‘85 FLHTC with chisel marks on the side stand. Those marks are from my attempts to free it from it’s parking spot in a frozen partially plowed apartment parking lot. The side stand was in an inch of ice. I had to get it out somehow. So I used an especially large screwdriver and a hammer to hack the ice out of the way, and free the Harley for the first ride of the season!

I wasn't out long enough to get chilled -only 30 miles - and I was dressed for it. My only worry was any lingering ice patches in the shadows but fortunately there were none.

If I had been betting. I would have bet you was gonna take the Falcone. Glad you were able to get a break and go for a ride. Went for one yesterday and a short one just a few minutes ago to town for a gal of milk.😎
@nick949eldo5 жыл бұрын
The Nuovo Falcone has often been my choice for such wintry ride, but it's not insured at the moment. Soon though............. Glad you were able to get out yourself Henry.

@@nick949eldo Nick, remember, I live in S. Alabama. A 75 mile drive to the Gulf Coast, Destin, Fl.. I went by the bank a while ago as I went for milk and the sign said 79deg.😎

@@nick949eldo But honestly, when you thaw out, you have the roads , the scenery and better climate. 100deg. days and 95% humidity are no fun.😦

@@henryhawk7038 Arghh. 79 degrees is already too hot for me. I'll take a few months of whining about the snow thanks.
