Congrats on the Kickr! I bought one 3 years ago and it has to be one the best purchases of my life. It will make you so much stronger on the bike. If I may make a suggestion, treat yourself to a Wahoo Headwind fan. It's incredible. Worth the money. I too have a air conditioning unit but the fan is the game changer. Ride on and all the best with your fitness.

Hi Anouska I have the wahoo kickr core just had my 1st ride I have done the 36 kms then wind down calibration test but I still wonder why riding around Watopia people just fly past me I’m in like my hardest gear smallest cog doing 20kms per hour out on the trails I’d be faster I think is it anything to do with that difficulty slide thing ? In settings? But I’m loving it I can’t do my ftp test yet as I have a Brocken foot healing so just taking it very easy on the bike in a moon boot lol

Good video keep the good job! I'm also recently bought a Kickr and started on Zwift (Pandemic Effect I guess) and also own an Oltre XR3 with Vittoria for Bianchi tires hahaha (tho my XR3 is celeste/black the oposite of your color scheme). Fun fact: Bianchi is one of the few brands that using the bike on trainers don't void the warranty, unlike brands like Specialized, Trek, Orbea, Canyon, etc. Anyway... I would suggest you to use the towel for cleaning sweat and buy a Sweat Guard... I bought a ROCKBROS one on Amazon, $10 and it does the job and if your frame is up to 56cm it fits great. BTW the "trainer adapting to your gear/cadence" is called ERG Mode.

Hi Amrit! Great question & thank you for your comment! I already had the Wahoo Element Bolt & Tickr which I knew would pair well to the Kickr so that was a huge draw. I also found the Wahoo was very popular & other people really recommended it. I like how connectable it is as it works with so many other devices / apps etc! I never considered anything else & am so glad I went for the Wahoo! x

Nice setup! I recently acquired a Kickr Core, climb I hope to add soon. My question relates to the core and cassette, I have removed the 11 speed one from my rear wheel and mounted it onto the core. No issues, all good I simply wanted to keep everything same. However is there any advantage or disadvantage of installing a dedicated brand new cassette onto the core? Meaning would it affect my chain and shifting when I remount onto my existing used cassette or vice versa? Not sure which is the best scenario and not affect premature wearing of anything.

Hey! Ah I know I need to do an update for sure now I've had a proper chance to try out the features more! I am actually using the wahoo app quite a bit when I just need to do a quick cardio blast because its so quick and easy! I am just putting off doing an FTP test I think haha!

Hi! Thank you for your comment! With ERG mode it will adjust the resistance to match your cadence to help you put out the power needed. The app for Wahoo will do the same :) x

Hi Amanda! Thanks for watching & for your comment! Mine seem to have been okay but I spent loads of time indexing them when I first got my bike in April. On quite a few occasions at the start I had to make adjustments but they seem to be okay now!

@@mita4h thanks, I think the spacer is being used. The bike store installed the exact same 9 sprocket cassette that is on my bike onto the trainer and there was no spacer left in the parts. Today I'm bringing it in for proper indexing. I will find out then what the issue is.

I am in the process of purchasing a Yahoo Kickr Core. I recently owned an Elite Suito which included a cadence monitor. The unit is defective and I am returning. What device are you using to monitor your cadence? I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work!!

Wahoo did a firmware upgrade last year that added cadence to the trainer. If you are using Zwift when you pair it, you will see cadence gets picked up when the smart trainer connects. Works like a charm.

Hi Ryan! Thank you for your comment. To ensure my bike runs beautifully I did need to slightly index my gears when I put it onto the Wahoo. This is where it is handy to have an extra pair of hands as in our house we will load a bike, ill hop on & ride through gears whilst my boyfriend then just adjusts the alignment slightly. I think ive needed to do this twice in the last 9 months but takes just seconds 😊 x

Ive tried two different bikes, one with a fairly new chain, and its still there. THe gears look aligned and indexed but im wondering if you or others have had a similar problem??

Hi Miguel! Thank you so much for your comment! So initially I used an HDMI cable from my laptop into the TV to mirror the laptop image. I then use the Zwift Companion app on my phone to make adjustments whilst in the game if needed. I am however now using screen mirroring from my phone / tablet / ipad to my TV via the screen mirror app as I find that requires less wires and is a little easier and quicker to set up!
