I wonder if it really has the same MSX control board. This wheel has Bluetooth speakers and Gotway's newest app has a new function for setting different LED modes, which I assume was created for this new wheel. Great 'first look' video.

yeah its the same PCB except they swapped out the MOSFETs with old smaller ones and are using lighter gauge wiring to the motor.

The Nikola has some of the brightest, if not the brightest, LEDs ive seen on an EUC. I question some of their decisions, but I respect gotway for their diversity of wheel designs.

Great video! I have two questions... because you have a direct communication with the company would you pass on or put a contact for the company? The other request if possible is to add to the app a “safety” switch that would allow the Gotway product to auto slow/pushback when it nears its top limit. I recently was riding with a helmet on and hit the top speed trying to get out of the way of a crazy driver and had it cut out at speed. I could not hear the warning beeps and/or was preoccupied trying to get out of the way and the auto pushback would have been very helpful in that situation. As a result I went down and details aside was injured pretty bad. In hindsight it would have been something I would have/ would use presently and would be a feature that could differentiate from other manufacturers. Just a thought.....

Haha. Because toggling the headlight is a pain. It also toggles the side LEDs which means if you want to keep the side lights as they are AND turn off the LED, you gotta tap the power button 9 times.

So basically it's a slightly smaller wheel than the MSX which means more torque and less speed. Seems like a regular 30mph wheel. Any other differences apart from those unique LEDS?

Now wich one to choose .. hmmmm KS16X or GW Nikola. ..same price, same tire width, same battery, both 16 inch and 2000 watt engine imo i think gotway win by the look and LED, but lose for the trolley and handle! Also headlight on KS is a little more bright for night cruise... are the effective range about the same? Pedal height seems a bit low too for the GW no?

I have the Tesla now and comparing it with the MSX is not far behind. To spend $2,200 for the MSX which is a little bit more than the Tesla is questionable. I’m going to make due with the Tesla for now and hope for an MSX+ to come out with in 2019.

I am a huge fan of the tesla for road riding. The only wish I have with it is higher pedals. The msx turns are amazing in comparison, but the responsiveness of the tesla is unmatched

@@KujiRolls Yup. Cornering is Tesla's Achilles heel - can't tilt over to our heart's content due to low pedals. Nikolas doesn't look much better. Having 2 wheels (Tesla & MSX) is the best we can do now - one for speed and corner, the other for acceleration and responsiveness.

Hello Kuji, I weight 235lb and my height is 6.33 ft . I want to buy a first new unicycle and was wondering buying this nikola plus 100v. But after this video I don't know anymore. Yo Lucas! The shell was fine, just a scratch or two. It really depends on how you crash, but my impression is that the Nikola housing is quite robust and will not crack easily. But then again if you crash it down a flight of stairs, you might prove me wrong.

Hi Kuji, Sorry, perhaps you have see this post on Facebook. I currently have an MSX 84V 1600w. Problem, I drive 60% in the city and 40% in the wood. So, I'm not so sure that my MSX meet my needs. For information I measure 193m for 87kg rather long and thin. I have big feet too;) 46 in French size. Finally, I drive at maximum 43-45 km / h. I sometimes risk having to take it in transport. I am mainly looking for reactivity and the couple. I feel torn between these 3 wheels: Keep my MSX / take a Nikola Plus or take a Tesla V2. What do you think ? Thanks a lot ! :)

I was complaining about how to toggle the headlights & rainbow side lights using the power button. The headlights and the side lights have 3 different settings (on, off, blinking). If you just want to turn off the headlights and keep the side light settings as is, you have to press the button 9 times. Id rather have the power button toggle only the headlights and move the side lights to the app.
