Circling back to these older Nikola+ videos that I used to make my first EUC purchasing decision in 2022. Almost nostalgic to watch this. Also, it's amazing to see how far you've come and how Alien Rides is a leader in the industry.

I'm currently on the fence about getting one of these myself as a new filming vehicle. Lots of torque, long range, comfortable, could be my next vehicle for riding and filming.

Hey, definitely a hard decision, is it your first wheel? If so, I would go with the solowheel, I’ve seen a lot of horror stories around the ninebots breaking, and I’m not sure what their future plans are. Solowheel will be a great first wheel to learn on, and is good quality. Have fun, you’re going to love it.

wait until gotway updates the motorboard with msuper x mosfets. go for the nikola+
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
Shad0z I believe the 100 volt nikola might already have the bigger mosfets, so maybe I could go with that one.

I got one and absolutely love it. I think it it the best designed most comfortable wheel out there. With power and stability to spare. Can’t go wrong with the gotway nikola !.. nice video and representation. 👍🏼👍🏼

Nice, what did you have previously? It definitely seems like a great wheel!
@lucasskywheeler98185 жыл бұрын
I started on an inmotion v8 and upgraded to ks16s and now have the nikola as my bad ass favorite. Lol. I think the trolley handle is great. But I haven’t wrecked with it to see if it flys out. but it has great control and it’s a decent height. I’m 6’3” and I can use it no problem.. All the negative things that I’ve heard are soooooo outweighed by how well it rides .. once you get used to it.. it took me 20 miles or so to adjust but once I did... it’s great. Handles excellent. Can topple any hill and it eats up bumps cracks and crappy roads. No problem. I am a big fan 👍🏼👍🏼
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
@@lucasskywheeler9818 Awesome! Yeah I've heard of one trolley handle getting opened up during a spill and bending so it does happen. I think folks are looking at using some velcro for additional security of the trolley handle.

@lucasskywheeler98185 жыл бұрын
Juan. Access the app. It will allow you to control the led lights and the headlight. Also just connect Bluetooth to Gotway music and play. It’s super easy and loud. Not the best quality but it’s loud enough to hear clearly at 30 mph so it’s good for me

Yeah, he did a good job with the matching black & white stickers for sure. Nikola is fun, but not sure how well it would hold up off-roading. A 18" wheel is probably better for off-roading.

Woohoo, sounds like you’ve been bitten by the EUC bug 😅 Nikola is an excellent choice, and if you’re looking for some more speed, pick up the Nikola Plus, the 100 volt will be really amazing. wow, thanks for the content. I'm still deciding on nikola or ks18xl for first wheel😃
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
Zen Lee both are great wheels for sure, hard to make a decision. While I absolutely love the Nikola, I’m astonished that GotWay would go with the smaller mosfets for the 84v version. I think we’re going to see some boards burn up as Marty’s just has. Personally I would have to recommend the 100 volt nikola plus, followed by the KS 18XL, followed by the 84 volt nikola.

I'm not sure how the width will be for those of us with short legs. For this reason, I'm (currently) sticking with the plan to go for the KS 16x.
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
That is a good point, the point of contact will definitely change for folks who are different height. Though the tapered shell and the fact that you can add padding to any point of it should help quite a bit. Definitely give it a shot sometime at a group ride.

Yo @Alien Rides Any news on the way/sensation that the Monster84v gives you when riding it sitting down..? I’ve purchased the new KingSong16x 🤩🙌 but I’ve been looking at the Monster84v and recently saw some vids where the dudes are sitting down and I got to say that’s some cruising style haha 😂.. I’m a new rider so I hope I made the right purchase choice, but I would like to hear opinions.. you see I want my first wheel to be with me for a while . I don’t want to have to upgrade in for a while .. Thanks brotha..
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
The 16x looks like a great wheel, but it’s going to be way different compared to a massive 22” monster. The 16x is going to feel like a sports car, while the monster is going to be more like a Cadillac. Ride the 16x for a while first, I wouldn’t worry about going to a monster yet. Personally I have my sights on the monster as a filming vehicle, if I get one and can sit on it I will let you know.
@piinkytokes27905 жыл бұрын
Alien Rides hmm I see.. seems to me that the 16x will be a nice/good starter wheel than. Yea plz if you can/do so, get back to me with the info upon your ride on that Monster84v brotha, really would like to hear first hand impressions.. thanks again 😎🤙🏼

how would you compare it performance / torque wise to your msx? Marty said the Nikola is a better choice than the msx... do aou agree with him?
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
For me, it’s a toss-up to me honest. I do think the nikola is a hill killer, but it’s purely due to the mechanical advantage it has. Personally I wouldn’t change to a Nikola if you have the MSX already, but the Nikola plus with 100 volts is very interesting to me. I’m eyeing that right now.

Does it stand up on its own?
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
It uses a gyro and motor for forward and backward balance, but you still need to handle the left and right balancing on your own. Similar to balancing on a bicycle I suppose.
@bushmaster44815 жыл бұрын
Alien Rides 😂 I mean does it stand up when it’s off like an inmotion? Rather it stand by my desk than lay down flat.
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
Bush Master ah, gotcha. Not when it’s off, but you can lean it vertically against a wall or desk, it’s very compact that way.
@YourSayUTube5 жыл бұрын
Lol after reading your comment on the boosted rev video I thought let me check out your other uploads! This is crazy, I have seen the Segway unicycle and wondered how on earth do you balance? Don’t you just fall forward and flat on your face? I have the Segway Drift and man I can’t even balance. Does it take some time getting used to? (Ninebot I mean)
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
Hah, this actually uses the exact same technology as the segway drift, it's just a little big larger. A gyroscope detects the lean and accelerates the motor to keep you from falling. If you can do the segway drift, you will be able to do this, but it does take some practice. For the segway drift, I think the key is to just relax when you step on, and try to stand still. Usually people are too stiff and over-react, causing balance issues.

Addy Verma its not a good idea to push the top speed because if you push it too hard you can cut out and fall. Generally I think you should be able to cruise at mid to high 30s no problem though. I would feel fine riding this wheel at about 35 mph or so.

Yeah, these things are large and heavy for sure. I definitely wouldn’t want to carry it two flights of stairs.
@Kickersoccer695 жыл бұрын
I absolutly accept EVERTHING about the nice ride and drive capabilities the Nikola has....but please. You will not tell me that this handle type, as wide as it is, is ANY good for people who use the wheel for commuting and perhaps have to carry it a bit over steps, subways, whatsoever? Also, the trolley type? It might be more stable than on the inmotions...but putting it back without clamping fingers, or better lets say the hole handling, sure has some disadvantages? Or really not?
@AlienRides5 жыл бұрын
Good points. The handle was quite wide, and I think you're right, it would not be comfortable to carry around for long periods of time. The trolley seemed functional to me, but King Song still makes the best trolley out there IMO. I haven't had it for a long time to do a detailed analysis on every aspect, but maybe I'll own it some day to find out myself.

I respect that, everyone has their rides of choice. The EUCs can look scary, and there's a learning curve for sure, but once you get the hang of it they are really great vehicles. I use them to film all of my third-person scooter videos because my hands are free and I can film the scooters, gives me some really nice shots and angles of the vehicles that not a lot of people can capture.
