First Ride REVIEW | Husqvarna TE449

I just recently went out and purchased a used 2011 Husqvarna TE449 off of Facebook Marketplace. I've been looking into getting a smaller, more capable, off-road motorcycle to take into the woods with me and this was the one on I landed on.
I'm really looking forward to making this bike my own and sharing my personal modifications of this bike on this channel. First couple of things I'm looking at are making this bike a little closer to being able to ride comfortably on the road. It is street legal, however one of the previous owners was nice enough to snip the turn signals and license plate light off. I'll also be looking into getting some new tires, a more comfortable seat, and a more ergo-friendly handlebar for me (previous owner was a few inches shorter than I am).
Overall though this bike can really take on the trail - I was able to take it 20+ miles down the North Loop of the Wambaw Cycle Trail here in Francis Marion National Forest and it really impressed me. Can't wait to see what it can do once I change a few things up..

Have the last model te449 2013/2014. Have owned it since new. The bike has been awesome! Great motor even better traction on gnarly hills. A little bit quirky to work on service wise but gets easier after a few goes. Perfect trail bike I think I really like mine.

Definitely check the stator bolts there is a facebook group extra for the 449 and 511 where the issue is explained ;)

I’m getting one tomorrow any advice I’m a Honda guy. But landed one of these. What are maintenance things I need to do? Any issues to be aware of? And how many miles did you do on yours total so far

No major issues, probably will just have to change out the oil a little bit more often than you're used to! I've put on about 2000 so far, bought it with around 1100 miles.

I had a really good experience with mine, never had any "reliability" issues with mine, or really any issues honestly. I recommend it if you have the opportunity to!

Love the bike, it absolutely rips. Depends on what you're getting it for. If off-road, then yes. If for street, then there's probably some better options out there. If for both, it's not the best bike for it but it'll do it. Just don't spend too much time at full throttle and probably stay below 70 mph (starts to wobble with the tires being so knobby)
