I always wondered how well a cheap V twin, like the 670, would work as a replacement on a real motorcycle engine... Seems to be a viable option.

Gentlemen, According to my husband who rode a rigid chopper for years, You control your ride by the rear tire pressure. Try running around 12 to 15 PSI in your rear tire and she should ride nice. Back when Hubby first got his chopper running, he hit a pothole with 35 PSI in the rear tire and he got bucked 12 inches off the seat while the rear tire bounced another 12 or so inches off the ground. He didn't crash, but he learned a valuable lesson in rigid chopper ride control!

If you haven't done so already, pull the hard drive apart. Chances are the actual hard drive on the inside of the sleeve slid out of place from the impact. If that's the case simply loosen the screws that hold the drive in place, slide it forward as to reconnect with the board that your usb plugs into, then tighten it back up. I had this happen to mine not long after I bought it.

@CarsandCameras6 жыл бұрын
It's actually pretty good! Better than the rear brake on my CT70.
@Bioruss6 жыл бұрын
I'd imagine it's better than most motorcycles rear rake because of the tyre footprint. It becomes a problem under heavy emergency braking when the weight shifts to the front and the back tyre begins to loose all traction. I'd be very careful riding her without a front brake. Awesome fun build though keep up the great content guys. Loads of love from New Zealand

buy a used external hard drive just like the one you dropped, take them apart and put your hard drive into the one you didnt drop...the hard drive didnt lose any information from being dropped
@mr.hankie6 жыл бұрын
stickloaf it could have lost information because it is still a hard drive that has a head that moves internally that can break from being dropped.
@89ludeawakening16 жыл бұрын
stickloaf That all depends on if it hit hard enough for the arm or read-write head to damage the platter.
@mr.hankie6 жыл бұрын
Bill I agree with that I would do the same I was just telling the guy above me that there is a possibility that the data is lost. I've been there with at least 10 hard drives that people have brought me to try and save the data
@Stryke6076 жыл бұрын
not possible. Without a laboratory, you won't be abled to keep it perfectly clean while doing that or be abled to replace the gas-mix inside hard drives, which takes a crucial part of their functionality.
@AllenEngineered6 жыл бұрын
It doesn't need to be perfectly clean just to read data. Dirt and dust will only hurt it in the long term, which is not relevant if you just want data recovery. In fact, you can run a hard drive with the case open just to watch and make sure the patters are spinning and the heads are reading properly. It will give you plenty of time to transfer what you need if you can get it working mechanically again. There are lots of KZbin videos you can watch about this.
