Hi Jenn, can you work while going to school? Is it 100% online, im trying to figure out how to schedule work....
@student_jenn3 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes you can work while during the program lots of other students do and have to like me lol. It’s is online BUT there are clinical you have to travel out of state for if you’re a California learner. Clinicals are a week long once a semester. Except for your last semester the clinicals are 3-4 weeks longs out of state which is the preceptorship!

Hi thank you so much for making follow up updates! Could you give any recommendations on what you would do different time management wise focus here less there? In considering starting 09/2024
@student_jenn5 ай бұрын
Hi! Im not sure how to answer your question correctly😭 only because everyone’s program plan is different and I’ve only done GE’s this semester (I list them in a separate video). My first nursing core semester is next sem (May) and I’ll be giving updates on the classes as time goes on. Best advice for time management is look ahead in the week to plan how much homework/time you’ll need to finish them. Focus on the work that has a hard deadline first. I hope this helps!

Future lpn thinking about nightingale here! Did your GI bill cover the bulk? I’ll be transferring all but 3 pre-reqs and hopefully will be testing out of classes.
@student_jenn2 ай бұрын
hey! if you're at 100% of the GI BILL then it shoud be all covered. Mine was not fully covered because I have a full schedule of taking 5 classes per semester and the GI BILL private school cap is $27k. I have to pay $1k out of pocket in my last semester. Hope this helps! if you have more q's I'm active on my IG so feel free to message me there!

Hey Jenn…I start September 3rd at nightingale! I pushed back them trying to get me to start in May…(too soon) my only concern is the pay. Do they expect that $60 to 70,000 to be paid completely off by the time you graduate? Or do they expect some “school loan debt”?
@student_jenn5 ай бұрын
Hi! I’m sorry but don’t have experience in this because im using the GI BILL for financial assistance but! I would reach out to your financial advisor they’d have more information on payment plans. Congrats and Good luck with your nursing journey!

Hey, how was the clinical portion? How often do students have to go to clinicals? I know you just started. Not sure if you have the answer but I was watching a video on one young man stated that he go to clinicals once a month for five days or is it once every semester for five days?
@student_jenn5 ай бұрын
Hi! So yes I just started and I passed the 2 HESI's allowed for LVN's to take which took out 2 classes that required clinicals. Meaning I won't actually have to travel for any clinicals until my 3rd semester between Sep- December. Yes it is a week long and its not once a month its during the semester in week 10 I believe. Realistically it's once a semester for a week until the very end when its 3-4 weeks long for Preceptorship. I hope I can explained it well enough lol
@cassieg85365 ай бұрын
How many semesters do you have total? I hear LVNs get 4-6 terms depending on what they transfer in & test out of so just curious 😊
@student_jenn5 ай бұрын
Hi! Mine is 5 semesters, tested out of 2 HESI's and transfered 54 college units
@jasminlara34484 ай бұрын
Do you think it’s helpful being an LVN already and then going to the LVN to BSN program? Do you think it would be too much to understand if you just have a hs diploma ( no pre reqs) I’m considering nightingale to start in September…. Also, how much work/ assignments is there each week for all assignments total? I have kids and work so I am trying to make sure full time would work with my schedule before signing 😅up
@student_jenn4 ай бұрын
I don't think it would be too much to understand because at one point I also started with just a hs diploma and I survived lol. It does take time to get use to the medical terminology and the critical thinking part of nursing but repetition will help and the clinicals will also help make it all make sense! I'm more familiar with nursing by being an LVN in my opinion so personally I would say it does help me understand the material a bit better. GOOD LUCK and I hope this helps!!!
