You don't need expensive gear for pan fishing, what you have is perfect.

Good stuff! A few fish, crunching snow underfoot and a dry car waiting. Looks awesome! Thanks, James!

I din't know you can catch perch in the winter. How big do they get? What lake is this in LI?

Real cool to see perch in that fall/spillway, I’ve only caught bluegill there. I like the detailed explanation of the drifting for crappie and perch. I’ve only ever caught them on 1/8oz rapala jerks and little walleye swim shads. Good to see you on the water. Heading down to Florida??? Tight lines man and thanks as always!

I never went fresh water before so i have no idea what to do but just wondering if you used something different lures, bait etc... maybe a better bite. Just a suggestion like i said I have no experience. But some fish is better then none you didn't get skunked.

Yeah i probably should of tried different lures. I will next time def, this outing was just to dust off the cobwebs on the freshwater gear lol

How did you like the gloves? I used a pair of Glacier Gloves on a recent tog trip and i was losing feeling in my fingertips.
@jamesschlickoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
The aquaskinz gloves worked good kept my hands warm but downside to them is they aren't waterproof so don't wanna dunk your hand in the water. I have stormr stryker gloves that are fully waterproof but they sometimes feel to thick for the smaller freshwater gear.

@@jamesschlickoutdoors appreciate the reply. It's either one or the other. You get too thick of a glove and you lose dexterity but you stay warm lol.
