Great video Sam. The shots were lovely. Well done for getting out.

Nice video Sam. Some nice images there too, but the one I loved the most was the leaves in the water. Just beautiful! Also like with the larger landscape images that you didn't feel the need to pump up the colours in the foliage. The greens and foliage looked natural to me, so if your goal was to represent the landscape as you saw it, you did well.
@BosePhotography3 ай бұрын
Thank you very much Dane, I really appreciate that! I do try to keep things looking as natural as possible, so try to avoid adjusting the colours too much! S

Hi Sam:It is great to see that you are back out again. I really like this location and the images that you have captured are stunning. The fall colours in our area of Canada are pretty much completed, and the overall colours were not as great as in previous years. We are still planing our itinerary for our trip to Scotland next May. Keep well. Cheers, Keith & Karen (Canada)

Thank you both! The colours have just hit their peak here I think, but we've also had a big storm blowing through this weekend, so not sure if the leaves will still be there by the time I manage to get back out again. Typical! I'm sure there'll still be something to photograph though :)

Hey Sam, lovely to see you on here making videos with some more frequency again. Lovely part of the world you live in. You are so lucky. I love your first panel images, and be interesting to see that shot taken over a couple of minutes each frame And then selectively add clarity to the reflections which you will lose. I'll have to get back there and have another shoot with you I reckon. That location at 8:16, wow! There is a calm feel to this video, very cinematic and a lovely opening too. 15:15 you will see some beautiful light emerging on the middle distance hill just by your shoulder between the problem tree and the tree and the right as well. It's awesome to watch that emerge and become more intense. PS, thank you for the plug at the end as well mate. Speak soon. Say hi to Hannah for me. Ewan
@BosePhotography2 ай бұрын
@@EwanDunsmuirImages thanks Ewan! I was back there again a couple of days ago and was hoping to try longer exposures. There was a band of cloud rolling through the background at speed though, which was making the stitching too difficult. Will try again on a calmer day hopefully, although we’ve lost most of the autumn colour already now! Hope all is well with you guys and hopefully speak soon! S

Really enjoyed this one, especially because I can properly relate to the location (many thanks again)! We should really even out that situation by getting you more familiar with the lay of the land down here - why not book in a visit? You're welcome any time, mate 😊👍

Lovely video Sam, thank you. The sense of peace in the landscape really came through, such a lovely area. Thanks for the insights towards the end as well, it’s good to be reminded about staying grounded and remembering why we get out with our cameras. Really liked the pano, it had fabulous detail. For me personally, if I was going to be super critical, I wasn’t totally sure about the right hand edge - it seemed a bit busy perhaps, and somehow kept drawing my eye away. But then I may just have dodgy eyes 🤣. Look forward to your next instalment.

Good to see you back you handsome devil 🤣 That's a good looking spot for a pano, I liked the early pano at 2.22 with the rusty colours on the hill in the background! I'll store the location to ask if I'm ever back that way, I hope it all comes together for you this autumn!

Thanks Andrew! I think that's my favourite version of this shot so far too, but I think there's still some room for improvement. Hopefully I'll have the chance to perfect it this year!

It's great to see another video from you. What a lovely area you have. Great images as well. I saw on the Pubcast that you are watching the Expanse. IMHO, it is one of the best sci-fi shows ever. The books are great as well. Good Day.

Hi Sam, I think that first shot location will certainly come alive in a month given some nice light and Autumn colours. I spent many years since the early 70's using film, so personally i found the first DSLRs to be totally liberating, I won't be going back!

Thanks for the video Sam. I got to know the area quite well about 30 years ago but haven’t returned since Covid. You brought back many happy memories and whilst my trips north of the border seem to end in the Trossachs, I must make the effort to see Torridon, Sheildaig, and Lochcarron again. Love the location and the shots you got as well as those taken previously.

Hi Sam hope you and Hannah are well, what the pandemic made me realise was the fact that I’d neglected my own environment, and while we walked the valley shot kept presenting themselves. So the last four years I’ve set about putting things right. Also hand holding the camera has given me so much freedom. Returning to the same locations is good light is always changing with each season.
