Oh nice, the skates that got me back after a near 20 year hiatus. I swapped out the liner for Intuition premium, 50/50 wheels and new bearings, and some waxed laces. I really enjoy them. The break in is real, but once the leather softens up, they fit like a glove. Love the look, love the “Steeze style” that comes with the flex, and the fact that they don’t look like every other pair of skates. I just wish Kato was more involved with the community😔

Your feet bowed out on the OS and older Remz because they frame used to be off center to allow for larger positive soul space. I believe it was in 2015 that Remz dropped the first skates with “True Balance”, which is their fancy way of saying “we finally centered the frame”

I was just thinking how weird it is that Remz fizzled during this huge aggressive inline revival. While other skate brands are just starting up and have good presences Remz has been nonexistent on social media or online and shut down.

I've never skated HR's but it looks like they have more traditional liners now. The liners used to be completely neoprene all the way around. Also, those need to be V-Cut.
@iRollerboot2 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t v-cutting increase flex?
@POWERUPGAMING2 жыл бұрын
@@iRollerboot In my experience, it only allows you to flex your foot down (like pointing your toe). Everything else stays the same. I enjoy it and its works for me since my foot is the perfect size in the shell, I don't get heal lift. I know others don't like it. But to each their own.

Interesting review, it sounds very similar to how I felt skating my friends pair of 04 LE's. I was hoping maybe the newer ones wouldn't be as "wobbly" but I guess perhaps that flex is one of their selling points.

I know you’ve said you don’t often skate coping but I wouldn’t mind what your methods are for topsides on it. Stuff is still so rough for me 😅
@iRollerboot2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm. I’ll have to give it some thought. My first notion is that some piece of the puzzle may be missing-having topsides DOWN on ledges beforehand, being able to already grind coping very effectively(not topside), being very comfortable turning and carving both ways on transitions. To me, if one of those is out of wack, I think it would give me trouble. I could be all wrong though.

@iRollerboot2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Good question. It honestly depends on what your safety tricks are right now. Some people go straight to TTP … and I still struggle with those. If I had to pick one I’d say true top soyale- you can use your strong backslide foot as a solid foundation while you work to get your topside foot dialed in. Hope that makes sense, thanks for watching!

Yes the Remz OS1 had MAD supination. Remz are torture… I can only skate them for like 2 hours but during that 2 hours I would SLAY any obstacle. They always felt like shit but I couldn’t argue with the actual results. I was never better than I was with my different pairs of Remz. Can you try them cuffless? It’s a crime to skate them with cuffs. I think the cuff also prevents the skin from being tightened properly. P.S. thanks for the shout out as always. 😁
